We booked this for a best mate's stag do, and it just about did the job.

The main problem was trying to make the booking. First I booked it online, and it said someone would get back to me to confirm the booking, which took a bit longer than I'd hoped given that it was short notice. I tried calling which was their recommendation at short notice, but just couldn't get through. I then received an email and was told I'd receive a link to make a payment and confirm the booking - that didn't happen.

I sent an email back immediately saying I had received no link and asking someone to call me ASAP, but never got an email or a call back. I then tried calling them, and it wasn't until about the fifth time (on the day of the event) that I managed to get through. The most frustrating thing about this was that several of the times I had tried to call were whilst they were closed - there was no answerphone message to tell me that they were closed and wouldn't be answering the phone. That is really, really poor, and such a huge waste of my valuable time. I could have been sat there waiting for hours (it was already half an hour).

When I did finally get through to someone, there was a lot of messing around, only to be told that there was no sign of my booking. Brilliant. Fortunately they could take my booking over the phone, but that wasn't exactly easy. I had to go over my name, address and card details about 25 times each before they finally had everything correct.

Even when we got there we still had issues!! One of the microphones didn't work, and then we kept getting microphone interference from one of the other rooms. They did give us half an hour for free which was good, but still wasted time.

I also had to chase up our "free shots" for a stag booking three or four times, as these were certainly not willingly offered when we were there. And I was also a little unimpressed that they had added on a considerable amount to the cost of the drinks for service charge - this was never mentioned beforehand, so we could have been in trouble had we not been prepared to pay it.

Overall, I would probably rate this lower if we hadn't still had a good laugh. The quality of the booking and co-ordination were pretty shocking, and has a long way to go to improve. It might be that we had a series of bad luck, but it seemed as though these were possibly not unusual occurrences, and nobody seemed fussed about how poor the experience was. I'd only recommend if you can get your booking sorted quickly and easily...!

The club night after was alright, although it's probably not fair me commenting on that as it was definitely, definitely not my type...

Brilliant! I haven't been to karaoke in years and what a way to return! The only downside was the songs could do with some updating as there were hits missing from all the major categories. That said, you still had more than enough to fuel you for two hours, no problem at all.

Drink prices weren't toooo bad considering it's central London (£6/cider; didn't drink anything else) and both the room and equipment were clean and fully functional. Lots of space for two people and the different lights for the types of music was a nice touch!

But the real highlight was the staff. Everybody there the night I visited was not only friendly and responsive, but they were also so quick on the ball to diffuse a potentially uncomfortable situation with my younger sister and I and some drunken revellers when we were trying to leave early in the morning.

The speed and calm correctness with which it was handled left me no other option but to give them 5 stars. So any ladies who may be feeling hesitant, they operate a very safe service to ensure a comfortable night.

Great location too, close to the station, bus stops and multiple bike and scooter docking stations. And the streets are so quiet afterwards it makes for a lovely evening/early morning walk afterwards!

I can’t thank the Lucky Voice Holborn team enough for looking after us on 5th July for a very last-minute 30th birthday celebration.

I called up at 12:30am looking for a room for 7 people, and the team at Lucky Voice told us to come on by! When we arrived, we were given a hero’s welcome by the team outside the venue, including some really friendly door staff who offered to look after some of our bags while we were there.

We got downstairs and were welcomed by everyone (even on a first name basis, which was nice!), and the lovely chap behind the computer even gave us some free shots on the house.

The room itself was spotless and the drinks service was excellent - the waiter even sung a few lines with us while we figured out our order. They also had some great karaoke tech, a huge selection of songs, and we could even choose the lighting of the room.

I think we ended up staying from 1am to 4am (close) and a big part of that was how at home we were made to feel by all the team there. It really showed and I appreciate you all looking after our group so well on the night.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a sing song - great fun but more importantly...
