Well the stars are for the lovely cultural decor and music.... other than that our group was completely disappointed. If you're okay with spending from £8-£14 a single fancy looking cup of crushed ice, squeezed lemon and a skewered cherry ontop, then this is the place for you... when we arrived it was not so full... which was nice enough for us to settle in, our coats were collected by a gentleman who brings you a ticket from cloakroom. Trying to get served around here was just ridiculously long... waiters/waitresses were passing back and forth, but didnt take notice of our group waiting. However they notice empty cups on te table. They messed up a couple times with orders, offered to give us shots... we thought great a chance to win us over.... sadly we yet was let down again... it had no alcohol in it lol....pure juice. So fast forward to billing, we requested service charge taken off since its optional and we were not satisfied with anything they offered us. The cheeky staff member than rudely told us to pay at till since we not paying service charge while holding the card terminal in her hand... like WOW!! REALLY?! It just was not a hood experience at all but we're a group that will still have fun wherever we go... we made most of the music played. I really think they shouldnt be taking our polynesian cultures and covering it over their walls and not living up to an islanders expectation... it's nothing at all what it seems in the pics and profile they promote

Had a great experience here with amazing service. Came for my friend's 22nd Birthday and we started upstairs with drinks and food then moved down to the club later on in the night. I had the devil's ukulele and another tropical vodka based drink. Both were tasted great and the cups which they came in had some interesting designs. To eat I had the prawn and crab gyozas along with the grilled chicken. Both were really nice and came fairly quickly. The service was great, our waiter James was really friendly and as it was my friend's birthday game him a free drink but also provided us with free shots throughout the night. Also near whilst we were upstairs my friend had ordered some sushi but a waiter took our order to another table by mistake. James then made sure we got our sushi but also took it off our final bill. For prices it is what you'd expect for a London bar in Mayfair. Perhaps even a little cheaper. Cocktails ranged from £9-£16 or you could get big ones to serve 3 people from £30-£45. However, once you move on down to the club the prices increase heavily and you'll find yourself spending around £18 for a single Jager bomb. Luckily whilst in the club section our friend James was still about and providing us with free shots which was really nice. Overall base on the food and drinks I'd give this place a 4/5 but with the service it bumps it up to a 5/5 rating. Will definitely be back again!

I don’t know what I was expecting, but having googled the meaning of ‘Mahiki’ I was expecting something more... I went here with a works Christmas party, it’s been a while (16 years) since I’ve been ‘clubbing’ in this postcode, there’s nothing wrong with the place but of course I didn’t have to deal with bouncers or bar prices, it’s just a bit weird.... very low ceilings, weird 1970’s wicker furniture and the smallest toilet (that I couldn’t find for ages). Also the main turkey meal was tiny. If I was a celebrity I don’t think I would go here... I’m glad I don’t need to go clubbing any more, once a year is enough for me.

Went here with my friends for nye. The entrance looked very nice and we arrived on time to avoid a big cue. However, we were a group of 8 and 4 of us got sent the wrong Mahiki tickets (I ordered 4 tickets, the other 4 were ordered by the persons themselves).

I ordered the nye tickets for mahiki mayfair via designmynight. I got a confirmation from designmynight that it was paid etc. Then, apparently Joonbug is the company that provides the tickets and they are being sent by Cravetickets. So what happened was that 4 of us received tickets for Mahiki Kensington. I contacted Joonbug, which said they would inform higher management and would let me know. They did not. So I called Mahiki itself and explained the situation. The girl on the phone said it was no problem as long as I got proof, which I did.

So when it was our turn to show our tickets at the door, I explained the situation and the girl said this was strange because we were not on the list. She went inside to discuss with this Deadmau5 looking guy. She came back and told us the only option to get in was to pay 4 tickets! Of course I said no because this was their fault and I showed them the emails and payments! She went inside again and told me again there is nothing they could do and we had to buy 4 tickets. So then I got very irritated. I told the girl at the door very clearly that this is their fault, Joonbug sent me the wrong tickets, i have proof, take my phone, show it to the manager and let us in because we paid as you can see and you are not going to ruin or new years eve. Finally they approved and we got in but this is very unprofessional and bad management! They could clearly see the first time that I paid for Mayfair and not Kensington and that it was their fault but they kept trying I would buy another 4 tickets.

The party was nice, but very little party room. The roof is extremely low. Music was ok, bit old and commercial. Price of the drinks was ok. We had a good time but not sure of I would...

It's been over 2 months when we went to Mahiki - I've been there many times before, but this is the first time where we got completely fleeced with the bill and rest assured I will not be returning. We were newlywed and the door staff had promised us some extras on entry. We did not want to pay the entrance fee, so instead discussed it with the friends and family (7 of us) that were present and got a table instead. We ordered 1 sharing cocktail and 1 bottle of vodka - but to our surprise, were given an additional sharing cocktail (we of course thanked the staff for this lovely surprise and the staff shared this cocktail as well!). However, we were in for a nasty shock. We waited over half an hour for the bill to arrive and when it did, there was an additional £1,000 added to our bill and entry costs for 8 people (mind you - there were 7 of us!). When we questioned this bill - we were met with incredible hostility and agression by (if I recall correctly) a lady called Sarah. And it became clear that she had no inclination to have a civilised conversation and sort out this mishap on the night. They refused to give back the credit card on tab unless we paid the full amount - so begrudgingly we had to pay to leave. The next day we explained the situation via email and finally got a response. A man called Ian called and apologised and said he would sort this situation out and provide us with a refund - he said he was the GM and of course I believed him. This was weeks ago and even though I sent many follow up texts and emails and called Ian's number numerous times - he never called back and never resolved the issue. It's absolutely disgusting - and daylight robbery for such a huge amount to basically be extortioned by what I thought was a reputable club. Suffice to say that I will not be recommending this venue to anyone and spreading the word as much...
