First time being so disappointed with Google 4 star rated restaurant. Come on. How could you guys rate this restaurant 4.2 stars? Have you guys eaten Japanese food before? Well to be fair. The crunch tuna was not bad. (I try to make this review sound as objective as possible). And then that's it.

But f**k I was shocked by the katsu don and my husband's ten don. Jesus Christ! How did they manage to make tempera so oily and salty?! And the katsu pork had a weird smell. Not sure if there is something wrong with the soil sauce. I do reckon they used some old oil (im not kidding. Oil does age. I mean reused oil. Because the tempura batter was very dark and soggy).

No offence but from my experience when Chinese run a Japanese restaurant the food just won't be right. Chinese do Chinese food amazingly but seriously not Japanese food.

And and and, I never ever complained service before because I appreciate the hard work by service people in restaurants and hotels. But when our waiter lifted his arm to serve the dishes the smell of his armpit made me feel sick (I still feel sick when I am thinking about it).

I do understand that the work in restaurants is high load and does make people sweat a lot. But seriously this is so embarrassing!

I am afraid I definitely do not recommend this restaurant.

I would prefer to eat Chinese food just opposite or maylssian roti King in next block.

This is my first time write a such...

Came in on a Saturday, was a wait to get a table but the food is acceptable. Service wasn't too bad considering there was very short staff and the place was packed with customers. In fact the staff looked quiet overloaded with work. I asked if I could have my phone charge (I brought my own phone charger) and they said a blunt no. The manageress refused as the staff was more than happy to so I know it came from a more senior position I know this is a debatable thing to complain about but I'd be happy to tip more if the answer was yes and if they had a bit more courtesy. Now what bothered me the most from this experience was how rude the manageress was. She was clearly snapping and yelling at the staff in the open public side of the Restuarant in front of customers including us and I thought it was very barbaric and unproffessional. I've never witnessed such degradation to staff before and I was quiet offended as well as feeling sorry for the staff. It actually put me off my food so I just finished up...

Can bring sizzling food to everyone's plate but won't cook a simple one egg omelette for my 5 year old child during a quiet evening.. it wasn't even a simple let us check and see what can be done.. it was a rude and impudent no. Not a way to treat customers.. we aren't short of money but treated like hobos in the corner.

I nearly walked back in and told all the staff the older woman who serves on the floor needs to go.. everyone else is polite and wants to help. She alone brings the entire place down with her short and rude attitude.. I'm not the only person to say this as other reviews have also mentioned the same. Also we were clearly being rushed to order, to eat and to pay. £50 worth of food that wasn't even anything worthy of mention and thrown on top of a few pieces of lettuce and shredded cabbage.

Next time I'll stick with the pricey chippy a few...

Came here for dinner with a friend after work and it was basically empty when we arrived at 6pm. We ordered the sushi bento box and the tempura box which both came with miso soup. They were served to us very quickly so we didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes. Sashimi was fresh and delicious, and the softness of the sushi rice was good but it could be improved to be even softer. Sashimi pieces could have been bigger as you can probably tell from my photos the size of each sashimi slice was rather small. On the up side I was slightly surprised by the pickled vegetables in the middle, not sure if they made them in house but they were very flavourful and balanced out nicely with the sashimi. Service was good and vibes overall were pleasant. Would be happy to come back here again but wouldn't say it's a particularly outstanding place.

Came here with a group of friends. The food was delicious, great quality sushi and you could definitely tell it was fresh. The staff was also friendly and made jokes with us at the table. We ordered a sushi boat and tempura fried ice cream which I'd never had before and was amazed by! The place was packed when we arrived so we were made to wait for about 20 minutes but they allowed us to pick our food from the menu so that when we were given a table there wasn't much waiting time. They have tables outside but it was raining on the day (surprise surprise London...). Only downside is the lack of space. It was a tight spot and it was sometimes uncomfortable to sit without being able to move around much. Prices were very average especially for the location being fairly close to Euston station yet on a peaceful enough road.

A very authentic experience with great sushi and a nice variety of other menu items boasting affordable pricetags. There was a nice variety of starters and I chose gyoza which tasted very fresh, almost ordered another serving! My friend has the grilled aubergine which was also extremely delicious. The sushi is nice and well priced, and they have a good selection of sake (日本酒), albeit on the pricier side of their menu. I would love to return to try other menu options! The staff were friendly and attentive, the interior is tastefully styled and outdoor seating is choice on the quiet street in the evening. I had no problem finding a table at 8pm which is surprising given the proximity to both Euston and Kings Cross, so definitely my new pre or post journey destination of choice!
