This is to bring to your notice that I visited your outlet on 9th January 2015 at 16:40PM with a friend and we ordered a Veg Deli Meal and also Deli of the Day which was Chicken and Bacon Wrap and it costs 6.68 GBP and my order number is 0114 and receipt number is 6582.
I paid the bill raised by the lady at the counter by my Yes Bank Master Debit Card and once i had inserted the card i took it out when the machine said its ok to remove the card then suddenly the lady serving this order said my type of card is not accepted ( it is a chip card ) and she made me pay the same amount in cash which i did ( the lady who served me had finished her duty for the day and left ) and as my luck : I was eating in the restaurant and a message flashed on my mobile and email banking that I had been charged for the same amount on my card and i went to the duty manager and she said its not possible and I must come back with a print out for the transaction : i kept showing my Bank's email which is from Yes Bank (official email ID) and also the sms i received from Yes Bank on my mobile number which confirms the transaction as being charged - she didnt listen to me and gave me a cancelled bill of the same transaction : i still went out and incurred more money to get an internet connection and took the print outs of the email and snapshot of my mobile sms confirmation and went back to the McDonalds outlet at Bethnal Green and met Janice and she didnt try and understand what i was producing ; the documents which confirmed i was charged and she asked me for my account statement from my bank : i told her that when one makes any purchase on a debit card it gets reflected on the following day as my card is issued in India and the time of transaction in UK was 16:40PM which should be beyond banking hours in India on the same day but she was extremely non understanding and without any courtesy inspite of me showing the relevant proof and sent me away saying its not the policy to pay unless i prove it i was charged double and according to her i was charged just once so she even said that i have to prove that i ate at the same very McDonalds on my receipt : how on earth can i do that / i cant ask my bank to print McDonalds Bethnel Green on the statement : anyway i was sent back saying do whatever i want to do - i checked my online statement and its confirmed i have been charged the amount on my card so i have attached all the relevant documents.
The amount may mean nothing to you or the management of McDonalds but its matter or principle for me and I have no intention being cheated upon, loss of time and money and having been disgraced the way i was & been questioned about my integrity.
If needed then please check the cctv recording of the same date and time.
I need to know how I will be compensated for my displeasure, for being overcharged and having been questioned on my integrity and honesty : this calls for a full apology and financial compensation ASAP.
If I don't get a satisfactory response then I intend to seek legal help which will initiate legal proceedings towards the McDonalds...

When you walk in, not just in the last 2 weeks but for years, the air is very stuffy & smelly, with a strong smell of cooking oil or something like it all over the premises, no cool air during warm weather periods & no air conditioning, very uncomfortable to eat in the premises.
The food quality was okay no complains, other than no ice in drinks for some reason on every occasion.
Unaware if company policy but while waiting for my order @ counter, I noticed that no staff at all wear gloves when preparing orders/meals, nor use tongs, just bare hands.
One lady placed lettuce into my Big Mac with her fingers, one man unfolded my fries cardboard holder by placing four of his fingers inside the card container.
There is sanitizer hand wash in store, usually empty though for customers to be hygiene good but the actual staff? rubbing head then handling fresh food with fingers, somebody else's going to eat?? rubbing nose then handling buns/baps...
Monday 20th June Visited, food okay, service fine, hygiene fine but a member of staff came up to me, after I had finished & asked if I would like to take part in a feedback survey, in return I would get a voucher for something like a free fries. I agreed, the lady asked for my phone to set up the survey, when she gave the phone back , telling me that I would receive the voucher by email? I said what about the survey/my feedback, she replied sorry I did it for you???? Watched from a distance did it to a lot of customers, so false feedback, to get top standard & target...
Read moreI used this Mcdonalds a few times but recently I downloaded their first & worst App ever. I ordered through the app it suggested me to go pick the order up as it was ready for collection, I popped in only to be told that there is no order, I showed the app to the person at the counter who was unable to tell me what was going on. He was on the same position as me, clueless! which made no sense. I asked to see the store superviser which may have some how angered the person at the counter but my request was final. I then was seen by the manager who also was clueless and told me to contact customer services. I then ordered again at the counter, as I was waiting for my food to arrive I noticed, when the angry staff was pouring my drink whilst I was kind of facing his back 1 of his colleague laughing in low tone because the angry staff was putting something in my drink I spoke to the manager again and was told it would be investigated and cameras will be checked but I later complained to customer service for further investigation.
