Moon Lounge Bar Beckenham — Restaurant in London

Food was ok the service was good but could tell that they were under stuffed. My friends had a booking there, we had the booking from 20:00, it was all fine until the restaurant turned to a club we saw some of our friends from school the approached my friend at the bar and said hi and so on, at this point the security approached him and said men are not allowed to speak to women in here. (This is surely not legal) how ever I watched 10 black men been kicked out for no reason at all the reason that they were given was they not buying drinks however this was not true because they were in the the queue to buy some.(correct me if am wrong is this not harassment trying to coerce or pressure customers into buying drinks or unfair business practices) even if they someone wasn't drinking maybe they are the designated driver. The owner was challenged by someone at the the end of the night people called out his racism but the only thing this man done was taking his top off to fight. Went for some drinks on a Saturday night.... what can I say. There were zero safety measures in place during this pandemic! The que outside was horrendous with everyone on top of each other! The door staff were rude. The hand sanitiser on entry had nothing left in it. There was a couple of women dancing in the middle of the walk way and no room for me to walk past unless I went really close to her! The ladies toilets were not being monitored and at one time there was about 6/7 ladies in the one bathroom completely ignoring the 'only 2 people allowed sign! The toilets were unclean and no toilet paper left! And the hand sanitizer had been knocked off of the wall in there! Not to mention the really rude manager who just felt like kicking us out because he wanted someone else sitting at the table! And we had spent alot of money! Overall, avoid this My Place, unclean, too crowded, poor social distance measures in place, there is hardly any room to swing a cat in there so they had far too many crowds in there for it to be safe!!

"Uninviting Place" would be a much more suitable name. From walking up to the bar my first impression was not positive when 2 large doormen blocked the way in. Without looking at me or acknowledging me they opened the door. If I hadn't been meeting friends I would have turned around and taken my custom elsewhere. The service was appalling. I stood at the almost empty bar and was repeatedly ignored while the 4 staff pottered around looking busy and chatting. Twice I requested a drink and was told in a minute. A young barman asked if I had been served and told a guy who was possibly the manager (shirt & waistcoat) that I had been waiting ages. The manager promptly left the bar! When he returned to serve me, not even a "sorry to keep you waiting" despite being the first person to aknowledge me over 10mins previously. Serious lack of any common sense when it comes basic good manners let alone any evidence of training. If you want to feel totally insignificant and overlooked......then visit My Place. The name speaks volumes. It's certainly not about...
