The worst Nando's in London, and I am giving q star because there is the option of 0 star.
The venue was very cold, we ordered and everything we wanted they didn't have it (it was 8pm not even closing time), the lady that was taking the order didn't tell us what they had I was getting annoyed and I asked if she could tell me what they had instead, we were almost leaving the restaurant for the poor customer service. We stayed and our bill was £39.99, we payed in cash £50 the lady didn't want to accept it, her name starts with a D, after she asked to a manager if she could accept the £50 note, and they talked about it, she came back to us confirming she didn't want to accept because they didn't have enough change to give. Mathematic is not an opinion it is a fact! She just had to give £10, when we said that the change was just 10 she accepted it.
All the people working in the kitchen didn't have the hairnet, some of them gad long beards uncovered. After we saw that a man from outside just entered into the kitchen without cleaning his hands, we guessed he was a manager because he had a shirt.
When we saw our plates ready one fo them had a ticket inside just laying down on the chicken leg.
While we were eating we saw they were preparing to close, we understand but we ate in a hurry because we felt...
Read moreWe were excited when this branch opened in our neighbourhood around Covid and it is a place we regularly go since then. It is therefore so disappointing when you are treated so badly for questioning where is your food after 45 min! At first, after waiting 25 min they told us that chicken thighs have run out and they have to get it from freezer. After waiting 45 min when we saw ppl who arrived after us already leaving after eating, we reached out to the manager. When my wife vented her frustration about not being told upfront that they have run out of thighs, the manager scornfully said - “do you want your food or not?” We are customers who have paid for their food upfront, not some street side beggar. Either the manager doesn’t have the skills to deal with dissatisfied customers or worse he doesn’t have the decency of talking politely to a woman. An apology was expected which never arrived, instead when the manger came with the plates to the table, he literally banged down on the table - like he was throwing food at a dog! The entire experience is the worst we have faced in any restaurant in London, or indeed anywhere in the world. We left the restaurant not receiving one word of apology for the late service or the pathetically...
Read moreFirst lunch post lockdown. The Camden branch has 3 x 4 seated tables outside. They followed guidance for post lockdown rules. With venue check ins and safe ordering online when sat at the table.
Make sure you have a phone that can scan QR Codes or download an app that can and have internet enabled. Also when ordering through phone make sure you know your log in details.
Other patrons did not make the lunch ideal as they were complaining about small things such as the sun shining in their faces and the branch not being able to do anything about it. Or the online ordering because they don't know their own passwords. The biggest complaint was they "JUST WANT TO ORDER" which I did not understand what the problem was knowing we are still in stage 1 of coming out of lockdown and the employees were doing their best to adjust. So good on them for coping.
Food was great. The musa xx sauce was hot. But not enough to make you sweat. But if you do not like heat it wasn't ideal, especially for the weather.
The wait time was not long however, at 1pm it did look like the online queue was...
