I used to go in there multiple times for breakfast. However, my last 3 times were horrific. I ordered spanish omelette, what I got was no potatoes at all in it except just the omelette. That was shocking, as what makes it a spanish omelete is the potatoes and onion but it was just a basic omelette with no other addition. Today I arrived after contacting them if there's been a change in the way they make their spanish omelette. I was told no. I said alright and brought my niece and myself from west london and east london all the way just for breakfast. Breakfast are served till 4pm o was told, when I was there minutes before that. When the man said that which I belive to be the owner, the female staff member said what?! To him all surprised. I could tell she was shocked and surprised with the response and non existent customer service.
My previous visit before today, involved 1 tiny sausage and 1 toast when I ordered the english full breakfast, small quantity as what is usually served. I said nothing as I was a regular customer and thought it must be shortage of food supply.
But to turn back roday a regular customer who drove 1.5 hr with a small child and also pregnant to get there before even the closing of the deadline for breakfast was horrible.
I have recommended this place to people and family for the past 5 years and have taken all of them there. I have literally referred up to 30 people there, from uni, work, friends and family but I will be updating them today with...
Read moreBienvenue à la Gare Verte de Willesden! Take a seat at one of the outdoor tables at this welcoming spot and close your eyes - you hear the rumble of trains, conversations in many languages, the smell of fresh pastry and maybe of whiff of some all-too-strong cigarette smoke. In my 21 years in London this is about as close as you get to the atmosphere of a Parisian train station Cafe in the UK. And if you decide to visit Paris, quick tube service on the Jubilee Line to Finchley Rd and a cross platform change to the Metropolitan Line will get you to Kings Cross St Pancras in about 20 minutes. Another transfer to the Eurostar will get you to the Gare d' Nord in just over three hours total travel time.
When I arrived yesterday, I heard a young man having a FaceTime call in animated Italian with his family. Though everyone at the outdoor seating could hear, it didn't seem intrusive - it is the 'soul' of this welcoming space. The large windows let in wonderful light. Indoors the large deli counter displays hand-made (by owner) cakes and pastries. Even at 4pm, the pain au raisin was unusually fresh; well-made coffees and prices about 10% below some of the more popular coffee shop chains in London.
I promise to update the review after eating an all...
Read moreI try never to give a poor review, as seen by my other reviews However!! A Really lovely cafe interior and exterior. Service-Initially when I gave my order the young female waitress was pleasant..I waited for my coffee and muffin as she said she would bring it to me. What seemed like a longer than usual wait , the waitress was clearing up, when I approached her, I could tell she had forgotten my order. Rather than be apologetic she was indignant. She then said yes it's coming.I was made to wait again. The coffee was tepid & wrong muffin bought. I then had to wait even longer. I dont like being played and her spiteful attitude was covered with a smile. I'm easy going and Oh I'm sorry, would have been so ok.I was not rude or unpleasant.A poor show of her...
