2404 Lovely thoughtful dishes. Worth the price.

🍞 The sourdough is slightly warm, dense yet fluffy and springy like a piece of cloud, with aromatic crunchy crust. The butter is delightful with a hint of salt though a little hard to spread—stopping me from over dosing.

🥗 Artichoke is a little oily but the citrusy dressing is pleasant. The flan reminds me of steamed egg at home. Soft and delicate, melting in mouth. The goat cheese slices and crisps offer great texture.

🦀 Cornish crab and rice in bone marrow mascarpone tomato broth. “Like risotto” but lighter. Harmonious melody of umami. Beautifully seasoned. I expected a little more crab meat, but the execution somehow justifies the price… and I couldn’t help but wipe the sauce with my bread.

🍊 And yes, I’m easily tempted. Almost getting a bill but yeah I memorized the dessert menu. My original interest was the malt cake and barley ice cream but the lady nicely told me it’s more like sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. So… I went for “the smallest slice” of chocolate tart with blonde orange sorbet. Chocolate tart is one of the best I’ve had even with a full stomach —dark and not too sweet at all— the sorbet though refreshing in the beginning turns out sweeter. The candied blood orange is enjoyably bittersweet. (Dessert is also relatively inexpensive:)

Portion is just right. Satisfying and not stuffing. I have myself to blame for “accidentally” went for a three course. 🫄

The blackboard comes with surprises. The monkfish I’m thinking about isn’t here today but the Iberian pork pluma (marbled belly) also sounds wonderful. And the Gougeres of course! All tempting from snacks to desserts but I only have one stomach. (Also from eavesdropping that there was some specials for two people to share.)

Wine list is impressive with choices and seems of reasonable price. Pity I don’t drink myself but will bring friends and family one day :3 and maybe take a sip (and try more dishes.)

Service is excellent. Everyone is attentive and friendly and helpful

Excellent restaurant with exceptional quality of food paired with a large selection of fine wines and encompassed by a exquisite interior decor. Definitely a place I would recommend to my friends and family.

Starting with the food, the amount of choice is not large, but enough to cater for most people, ranging from 5 to 7 selections per course. Quality of the meat is incredible, presentation was decent and the preparation time was not too slow considering it is a French cusine. Portions were quite small but offset by the creamy sauce. Prices were around 30 pounds per main course and 20 pounds per starter. More on the expensive side but not excessive for French fine dining.

The wine selections is in abundance with a wide range of pricing and a suitable selection for the 'By-the-glass' section. A friendly and welcoming selection that is inclusive for most drinkers.

The interior is greatly tailored to the cusine and area. Dim lighting to set the mood but also enough to see what you are eating. Perfect place for a date night or a small business gathering.

The service was great and efficient, as the place is small and is appropriately staffed. All courses were swiftly introduced to the customer and not...

First of all, the food is wonderful: no-nonsense dishes that are perfectly executed. Everything we ordered was delicious. Unfortunately, it all stops there. The wine list is completely inaccessible - the markups are a flat ~£50 which, while great value for the higher end stuff, is completely absurd for lower-priced wines. Plus (or possibly, as a result), there isn’t a single bottle on the list for less than £90. Knowing this, and the fact that they allowed BYOB, we brought our own wine. However, despite the fact that they advertise their small corkage fee quite prominently on their website, the staff seemed miffed that we decided to bring our own. It’s unclear why they would even bother to allow BYOB in the first place, if they are going to have that attitude. Generally speaking, the service was poor. No one attended to our table, and we had to flag someone down to receive the menus, order our food, and to get drinks. Jun Tanaka was dining at the restaurant that night, and they seemed to only care about pleasing him, at the expense of other...

Service is excellent. Everyone is attentive and friendly and helpful <3 no rush only temptations. The interior is bright, industrial and relaxing, decorated with green plants and matted orange lamps. I really like the combination of two mirrors and a window to the kitchen!! Blurring illusion and reality and connecting the outside world and the innermost space. Many people are catching up with friends and colleagues here, but the food is good enough for me to come back alone too!

I had a really wonderful time there. Food is as par excellence as one would expect! They have an extensive wine list. They do corkage too and we brought our own wine. The only slight irritation is that only the managers can take orders for wine, even for some simple orders on the wine menu. Service was good. I actually left my briefcase and only realised that after a while. I called the restaurant and by the time I parked up just right outside, the manager had already stood outside my car with my briefcase, saving me to get out and to walk inside the restaurant. Amazing observation and awareness in order to do so! Very impressed by their willingness to get such attention to a customer. Food 8/10, service 8.5/10, ambience 8/10, value for money 8/10.
