I had an absolutely terrible experience at O’Furn Pizza in Camden. Being Italian myself, I know exactly how real Neapolitan pizza should be and what I was served was not even close. The pizza was severely undercooked, soggy, excessively salty, and unsafe to eat. I could barely get through half of it before giving up, and almost immediately after eating, I developed a bad stomach ache and nausea — clear signs of serious food mishandling in the kitchen.
When I tried to raise these concerns, the waitress — a tall, mixed Asian woman (unfortunately I didn’t catch her name) — handled the situation appallingly. She became defensive, dismissive, and tried to shift the blame onto me, insisting that she had “already asked if everything was okay” despite only giving us barely a minute to taste the food. To make matters worse, when my partner approached the chefs directly to tell them the pizza was undercooked and that I had fallen ill straight after eating it, they were equally dismissive and uninterested. They refused to acknowledge any fault and clearly showed no concern that they had served unsafe food that made a customer sick.
To top it off, we were made to pay the full £50 bill for this awful experience. For that price, I expected much better food and service — instead, we got undercooked pizza, bad customer service, and ended up physically sick. Offering a free tiramisu — which itself tasted cheap and poorly made — did nothing to fix the situation.
Both the kitchen and the front-of-house staff showed a shocking lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic care for customers’ health. Frankly, the waitress needs serious retraining — if not complete removal from a hospitality role — and the chefs clearly require urgent supervision and food safety retraining. Management needs to take immediate action before someone suffers even more serious consequences than just a stomach ache.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid O’Furn Camden if you value your health, your time, and being treated with even a minimum...
Read moreI had a pleasant first experience at your pizzeria and would like to share both positive points and a few suggestions for improvement.
What I Enjoyed:
Friendly and Professional Staff: The team was exceptionally friendly and professional, which made the visit more enjoyable. Cleanliness: The place was spotless, which I really appreciated, as it contributed to a pleasant dining atmosphere. Pizza Quality: The quality of the ingredients was great, and the price was fair for the portion size. While I would have preferred a softer dough, but it was still quite good. I’d rate it a solid 7/10 based on my experience in other pizzerias. Group Dining: We were a large group (around 15 people), and the staff handled the booking and space well.
Suggestions for Improvement:
Menu Condition: The physical menus placed on the tables were worn out and not in good condition. They didn’t feel clean, which made them less appealing to touch. I recommend refreshing the paper menus to make the dining experience more polished. Menu Discrepancies: There were some differences between the online menu and the in-restaurant menu. It would be helpful to keep both menus consistent to avoid confusion for customers. Serving Time for Large Groups: While I understand that serving a large group can be challenging, the pizzas were delivered two at a time, which meant that not everyone could eat together. A faster serving process for larger groups would improve the experience. In future, I’d consider visiting with a smaller group to avoid this timing issue.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I would return to enjoy more of your pizzas. Thank you for the...
Read moreWe booked our meal through the First Table app, which advertised a clear 50% discount on food. However, upon arriving at the restaurant, we were handed their lunch menu instead of the regular menu, without any explanation. This lunch menu already included a 30% discount, which we didn’t know, as it wasn’t stated anywhere. Naturally, we assumed the prices listed were standard, and the advertised First Table discount would apply.
When we raised this misunderstanding after receiving the bill, the manager became defensive, raised his voice, and abruptly told us, “Don’t pay, I don’t want your money,” before storming off. He also made an insulting and unprofessional comment, telling us that we “wouldn’t be able to afford it.” Despite this, we still chose to pay the full bill. The server, who was very polite and understanding, offered to remove the service charge, but we declined because our complaint was about principle, not money.
To clarify, the food itself was genuinely good, and our issue was solely with the misleading practices and unprofessional management. Unfortunately, based on our experience and similar reviews from others, it appears this isn’t an isolated incident.
While the food is enjoyable, I’d strongly advise caution due to the dishonest pricing tactics and disrespectful customer service we encountered.
