Oddono's Stoke Newington — Restaurant in London

I recently ordered an ice cream cake from Oddono's and it came out beautifully.

One of the only shops I could find that still had the option of having an actual layer of sponge cake instead of it just being ice cream in the shape of a cake. They were very accommodating and even added 2 layers of cake for me in order to make an ice cream version of a Victoria Sponge. Flavours were great (salted caramel and banana sorbet inside) and not too sweet. The leftovers also stored great in the freezer so you don't have to eat the cake all at once.

Also, Cristina did such a stunning job with the decoration! My close-up shot was after the sun had melted the dark chocolate a little, but she did such a gorgeous job with the bow and with the vanilla gelato frosting. My family are all experienced bakers and they were all very impressed with how pretty and professionally Cristina finished the cake.

Finally, the store staff were all lovely and made sure the bow wasn't damaged in transit.

I went today at 9pm I’ve been going going here for the past 5 years. There was a short Indian lady with a lot of attitude she said to me you should’ve said that clearly then and stuff like you should’ve said that while kissing her teeth at me first I thought she was joking when she wasn’t. She then proceeded to chuck my ice cream with anger in the bin because I told her she put the wrong flavour. I’m not sure how she got the job. Even when she chucked the ice cream in the bin with anger the taller member of staff even looked at her because that’s not the way to treat customers. She needs to be sacked I will be coming tomorrow physically as I need to speak to a manager my sister came home crying. The ice cream is nice but the customer service...

Odonno's is so overhyped. I think just because it presents as authentic Italian gelato people think it's great, but the gelato is actually incredibly average, with some flavours actively bad. The chocolate gelato is super watery and the coffee gelato has been made with crap burnt coffee and is, again, watery and too sweet. The pistachio is actually decent, so if you're forced to go there because Romeo and Giulietta's is shut and you're craving a gelato then stick with pistachio.

The server was super lovely & service was perfect.

Atmosphere is dark inside but I don't really care about atmosphere - it's what you'd expect from a gelato shop & I imagine you're not planning to sit in there for hours and sunbathe so I think it's...
