Good food. Impolite service.
We arrived to the restaurant just before 3pm and straight away we were greeted with "hi just so you know we close at 4pm” and it was not exactly welcoming. I will be honest - the food was good so a big thanks to the chef. However I didn't want to pay the service charge for several reasons which I didn't want to state as I didn’t want to be rude but you want reasons? No problem: We were served with absolute minimum service. The staff just took our order, brought our dishes to us and didn’t ask in the meantime if everything was okay and if we needed anything. They brought us bottled water when we had asked twice just for tap. The staff were chatting amongst themselves so loud I could hardly hear my partner speaking and the staff were not very friendly. It was also not busy at all - just us and another couple. Not to mention the customers sitting nearby had also found a hair in their dish.
When we said we would rather not pay service charge; one of the female staff got very aggressive and harassed us into paying the service charge - she said her manager would get mad and ask exactly why we had not paid it and would ask what they had done wrong in regards to their service. I have to remind you that I am a customer and that the service charged is paid with discretion and by law I am not obligated to pay it. You cannot bully your customers into paying it. We finally ended up paying it because I didn't want to waste my time with your employee who was making a scene and shouting at us and ranting on about why we should pay it. We will never come back, I will never recommend this restaurant to my friends and family who live in the area. (This is finally not very profitable for you)
Even after having paid your precious £3.50 you spoke angry behind our backs not in english, which we couldn't understand of course. Last week we were at a Vietnamese restaurant next door, we paid the service charge with pleasure because they were kind friendly and attentive and it is a matter of principle. Here the service was poor and the reaction when we didn’t want to pay the surcharge was shocking. I would be curious to see what happens when other customers ask to take the service charge off… Just to remind you guys, the service charge is not something...
Read moreI am really not happy, I feel so sad to visit this restaurant. I have posted pics as well. According to what service and food I received I am 100% not happy.
I have visited many Thai restaurants in London and abroad but this was the first restaurant which is located in "Wandsworth Town", they charge higher than "Siam Central in Goodge Street". And omg the portion was so little I could only finish half of my rice and the main meal was finished. It didn't even take me like 5 mins to finish.
2 or 3 runner beans, less than quarter red pepper and 2 prawns which cost £10+. I went there to eat because I was hungry and I am big fan of Thai food and I didn't expect the food to be so little portion.
I know food taste good but its not always case you visit restaurant there are other factors that plays role. Anyways, I am really...
Read moreHonestly I’m so dissapointed. The prawns were off. I told the waitress in confidence and was polite without expecting anything back. I didn’t ask to switch dishes because at that point it put me off and I just wanted to get home. I didn’t ask for the dish to be removed off the final bill. However we thought it was only right to remove the mandatory service charge. This is where it all popped off. The waitress asked if the service was bad and why, the manager came super aggressive to ask why I was taking the food in a Tupperware when I said to give it to someone homeless. They were super aggressive telling me how prawns should smell lol. Honestly this place’s food is not worth it and being nice to them clearly wasn’t the right choice…. Honestly the aggression and the off food is...
