I’m very disappointed with this branch. I’ve been a regular customer since January, as my first time visiting the restaurant in person was January 21st 2025 and because I loved the Singapore vermicelli so much I started to order it almost everyday for the past two months up until a few weeks ago and last straw was today. As I’ve been receiving the same meal that I fell in love with in the restaurant but up until a month ago I received what they call Singapore vermicelli, it was NOT i repeat NOT what I had in store and not what I have been receiving the past two months. The thin noodles are the same but the taste , spice , colour and the seasoning were completely different. It just tasted like a chow mein with thin rice noodles. I complained a month ago and was told over the phone very rude by a male member of staff that is the Singapore vermicelli and that’s how they have always made when clearly it is not otherwise why would I call to say otherwise after two months of ordering if it’s always been made that way? Clearly not. So I left it as that but today I wanted to try again because maybe it was a mistake back then but nope the same exact thing happened today!!! As the photos shown the right photo is what I had in the restaurant in January what I’ve been receiving for two months and the photo on the left is what I received today and last month it’s two different colours , the taste is completely different one is bland the other is spicy. No taste or seasoning in the right photo but the left photo was spicy and had a lovely authentic Singapore taste. The lady on the phone today said they all checked. Tell me I’m not going crazy you can’t tell me it’s the correct way when I’ve been eating something different the past two months! I was a very loyal regular customer and today was fully the last day I will ever order from here! FIX UP! The recipe has clearly changed , new chefs or you lot have amnesia ! You can not run a business this way by cooking customers a meal to then receive something different then call it original vermicelli when it’s not! Cos it’s not wtf I’ve been eating all this time or I wouldn’t be calling nor...
Read moreThe food was good and the £29.80 all-you-can-eat menu was definitely worth it. Most of the staff were friendly and polite — except for one staff member, Angelin.
We only ordered two rounds of food. The second round was just a small top-up of vegetables, but the portion ended up being slightly more than we expected. When another staff member kindly reminded us it was our last round, we accepted it without any issue.
However, Angelin then came over with a cold attitude and said, “It’s time up for your turn, but I will let you have 15 minutes to finish.” Later, another staff member came to clear some plates, and Angelin returned to tell us, “We have a charge for wasted food. If you don’t finish it, you will be charged — but you can take it away.”
We did our best to finish everything, and we fully understand that the restaurant wants to avoid food waste. While it may have been stated on the menu (which we might have missed), no staff had explained this to us earlier — but we were okay with that.
In the end, we had just slightly less than one bowl of food left. When it came time to settle the bill, Angelin stood in front of us and used chopsticks to stir through our soup to check if anything was left, then finally said “That’s fine.” She didn’t serve us at all throughout the meal — only came over to judge us.
My cousin has been here once before and enjoyed it, which is why we came again. Overall, the food was nice, and most of the staff made us feel welcome. But Angelin’s behaviour left a very unpleasant impression. What could have been a 4 or 5-star experience felt like just 2 stars...
