Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in London

I am only giving one star because I have to, they wouldn't get any if i had my way.

AVOID THIS PAPA JOHN'S FRANCHISE AT ALL COSTS*

Placed an order online which took an hour to deliver (i live 10minutes away!) when the food finally arrived the drink and dips were missing from the order and the pizza was wrong and cold (not surprising as the driver had it in his car for 40minutes!). I asked the driver to take back the food he said he couldn't and i would have to call the store. I called the store and they said they would resend the order which was bloody laughable. Obviously I refused due to the poor service (incorrect order, items missing, and an hour wait) and frankly inedible food. I honestly have never tasted such awful pizza in my life! Anyway to the manager offered a full refund, i asked email confirmation which they said they could not do. I waited 5 days as requested and surprise surprise no refund.

This store were completely incapable of resolving my complaint, (pretty sure this is because they had money so they couldn't care less) after one email response offering me free pizza (what a bloody joke) from them but no refund, the manager Milena then went on to ignore me. In the end I had to involve Papa Johns directly who informed me this store is a franchise. As the store did not resolve the issue Papa Johns stepped in and resolved the issue and issued a refund which I received yesterday, meaning I waited 20 days for a refund . They also issued an apology and said that they were 'very concerned at the issues raised' and were working with the franchisee to resolve them.

I have always been a fan of Papa Johns but after this experience I will never order again. Not just because of the hassle but because the food was truly awful. One bite and it got binned!

When I ordered and was told that it would take 1 and a half hours for delivery, I thought that my experience would be appalling and had already started to write a negative review. How wrong was I! Only 3 stars because the person answering the phone needs to go on customer service training. He needs to improve immensely and also the delivery time needs to be improved on. However that said, the delivery man was very apologetic for the delay and the food was hot and tasty. My grandchildren loved it and they are fussy eaters. I would like to think that I would order from them again, but if I am faced with the rude operator again, I would prefer to spend my hard earned cash elsewhere.

EDITED ON 20/10/17 Taking back 2 stars for the meal i had today. Pizza arrived lukewarm even though I live about 5mins away. The wedges were raw and the buffalo chicken wings tasted nasty. The sauce it was coated with was very salty and vinegary. Not going back again. Dominoes and Pizza GoGo here i come!

18/11/18 I went back again didn't I. After a worse experience with Hackney Pizza Hut, I decided to go back to Papa Johns. I think that I will just stick with Papa Johns. Awful. My son ordered pizza for us from here, the first delivery was stolen by the driver and he had to go to great lengths to chase it up, then had to collect the re-made pizzas in person as they would not deliver again. He was told they didn't have the vegan "ham" so it would just be pineapple on the vegan Hawaiian pizza that he ordered for me, he said ok but when he got home we found they had put actual pork ham on the pizza instead. Why would someone want pork on an otherwise vegan pizza? Not to mention that we are Muslims, my son has an obviously Muslim name and is known to the staff there. It feels deliberate tbh. By this time the store was closed and we can't complain until they open again. This is not the first time they have done something like this, they regularly used to send out the dairy version of the vegan sides and then claimed they were labelled as vegan on the box by the Papa John's supplier when people complained, strange then how no other branch has this issue.
