I went to this restaurant for my birthday because of the good reviews on here but I definitely think the reviews are totally fake Worst restaurant ever I'm not one to write bad reviews but I couldn't stop myself this time. the member of staff got upset because I didn’t want to pay a £10 service charge for a cold and tasteless food after we paid £90 the worst meal ever and I didn’t even eat the food .the food pictures are misleading. And very expensive for hardly nothing. I’m Never ever coming back again. Absolutely pathetic excuse of a Bad restaurant and for this experience i will make sure to never return and have started to spread the word on this terrible experience. I've been going to restaurants for years and have never experience such service before Dirty, cold, and tasteless food and the worst possible service with rude staff There was nothing on the menu that was Appealing so I Decided to order a burger because I thought that would be a safe option you can tell even the way the burger looked dreadful. There was no Covid-19 rules in place with the staff aggressive behaviour. How this restaurant got 4 Stars reviews is Shocking the reviews are definitely fake. the menu I saw before going to the restaurant and the menu presented to me in the restaurant is totally different. Update: i Have been to some of the most expensive restaurants in London Shard, the Ivy, sketch, Momo. Novikov, Steak & Co. and so so many I know a good restaurant and good food when I see one ,and yours don’t even Compared to those restaurants. I’m sure I won’t be the last person to leave bad review on your bad Service and dreadful food it’s not my problem if you can’t take criticism I give you some years to close down.

I called the proprietor (Claudia) at Park's Edge Bar and Kitchen to make a 50th birthday booking for a family meal. From the moment the initial booking and deposit was made to the time it came to step out of the venue post event, I have nothing but the highest praise for all aspects of the experience. 50th birthday luncheon for a part of 15 with ages ranging from 92 right on down to 8 years old (3 months if counting the latest addition to our family clan). No request was too much trouble, with staff being attentive and going out of their way to ensure each one of the guests was satisfied and lacking nothing. Food was all pre-ordered for perfect prep and service on the day with the menu having a nice broad selection of starters, main courses and desserts to choose from, including seasonal options for the festive period. I've dined at this establishment on a number of occasions in groups consisting of large numbers to more intimate affairs and it has to be said, the good experience never changes. Notable mentions on the day go to our head waitress Noelia who was both professional and personable. We also had the pleasure of being served and entertained by Barry (also a proprietor ). Compliments to the chef also. Not cheap, yet well worth every penny spent. A thoroughly enjoyable time and one I'll remember for a long time to come. Thank you all... Me

WOW! I heard about this place a while ago but only visited for the first time last night, I can't believe it took me so long to eat here. The service was exemplary we didn't have a reservation but we were seated immediately it goes without saying that the restaurant has incredible views into Brockwell Park. The staff were perfectly attentive and knowledgeable. If we needed anything we got it efficiently but it didn't feel as though they were hovering over us. My cocktail was delicious and refreshing the flavours of Hibiscus and Rum were perfectly balanced. My grilled mackerel was cooked and seasoned to perfection, the accompanying chicken skin rice was delightful, it was essentially "rice n' peas" but cooked risotto style in an earthy chicken stock and topped with a gorgeous crunchy mini portion of chicken skin which complemented the texture of the rice and kidney beans. I also had plantain with indo as a side dish, the plantain was flattened and served partially submerged in the indo "sauce" which was a bit sweet, a bit hot (spicy) and a lot delicious. I'm not sure why the cuisine is described as "British" because to me there was a strong Caribbean influence and I LOVED IT!!! The prices are very reasonable for atmosphere, service and high quality food. I'm definitely going back again & again.

I feel sad giving this establishment such a poor review as I understand the passion and energy that goes into running an independent business. However the service was very poor and accompanied with rudeness from the owner. I visited this restaurant for a christening dinner celebration as a guest of the celebrants who booked the reservation. Although the food was good and the apple crumble dessert is one of the best I’ve ever tasted; they were seriously understaffed with one inexperienced waiter which led to orders taking ages to be brought out/ brought out incomplete or missed altogether. I chose not to complain considering how pricey our meals were as the food was generally good and I appreciated that they were trying their best given the circumstances. However when it came to paying our bill I respectfully opted not to pay service charge given my experience. I thought this was fair considering our order was approximately £100 give or take. At this point the owner came to my table and challenged me asking me why I opted out of the service charge. When I politely explained that the service was not to my liking she started what seemed like an angry emotional tirade in a stern manner effectively dressing me down infront of my whole family and general restaurant. She went on to insist that they had taken on our group booking with more people than expected suggesting that I should be grateful. She also angrily mentioned that some customers had left because of the noise that our children made and that I should not attack their service. The whole experience was surreal and super weird. I’ve never had an arguement for exercising my consumer right not to pay service charge. It was uncalled for and very uncivilised if I may. First of all, the restaurant did not have to accept more business than they could handle. They accepted our custom and thus service was required despite their staffing levels. Second of all they accepted children in the reservation full well knowing that it was a christening dinner event and that young children would be present, but still thought it was justifiable to mention that other customers had left because of the noise. I’m sorry, but this is either a family friendly restaurant or not. So to conclude the food is nice but you may receive poor service on any given day and then lambasted in front of everyone if you choose to exercise your consumer rights. I hope that this review changes the owners outlook on demanding service charge without...

I booked the reservation for the party that the previous review refers to and would like to clear up a few things about the owners reply. I made the booking for 10 people on the phone on 4th July and was called back on the same day to confirm the name for the booking. Per the managers response that they did not have our online booking in the system so this would explain why another large group had to be moved upon our arrival. It was not communicated to me that the did not have our booking, nor did I tell them at the time that I booked online. I was not even asked my name on arrival to confirm the booking. As the other review says the food and service was poor. It's true that there was an offer to recook our food, but we had just waited 90mins so we weren't prepared to waste anymore of our weekend. There was considerable negotiation to get money off the bill - it's simply not true that there was no dispute. We asked to have all the food removed from the bill but was told it was only possible for meals that were not eaten. Those who actually ate did so because by then they were starving, but there were issues with those meals too such as a pork sausage in a vegetarian dish and incredibly tiny potions of crepes. Looking at the recent review on Tripadvisor it seems that the other table who were complaining got their whole food order removed from their bill. It seems unfair that we were treated differently. We are a group of polite people so you may have mistaken us giving up on the situation for appeasement but it was an entirely unsatisfactory experience. I appreciate that ‘we're human and sometimes make mistakes' but this is a professional restaurant and these mistakes shouldn't have needed learning? Perhaps more serving staff as the waitress was clearly rushed off her feet despite the place being relatively empty. It’s a shame that she had to handle so many complaints in one afternoon as front of house can not be expected to handle every aspect of running...
