Here's a review for the Chai Latte at Paul Le Cafe in Kings Cross Station: A Kings Cross Gem: Paul Le Cafe's Heavenly Chai Latte & Top-Tier Service! As a regular commuter through Kings Cross Station, I'm always on the lookout for a reliable spot for a pick-me-up, and Paul Le Cafe has truly become my go-to, specifically for their exceptional Chai Latte. From the moment you approach the counter, you're greeted with a warmth and efficiency that sets the tone for a great experience. The staff at this Paul Le Cafe branch consistently deliver some of the best service I've encountered in a busy station environment. They're quick, friendly, and always happy to help, even during peak hours. But let's talk about the main event: the Chai Latte. Oh, it's simply divine! It strikes the perfect balance of warming spices, creamy milk, and just the right amount of sweetness. It's not overly cloying like some can be, nor is it bland. Each sip is a comforting hug in a mug – exactly what you need to kickstart your day or provide a moment of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of Kings Cross. It's consistently prepared to perfection, hot and frothy every time. In a station where convenience often trumps quality, Paul Le Cafe stands out by offering both. If you find yourself in Kings Cross and craving a genuinely tasty Chai Latte served with a smile, do yourself a favour and visit Paul Le Cafe. You won't be...
Read moreWorst Paul I’ve personally visited. I’ve tested it more than once as i live near by in the hope it would have improved since last visit but this has yet to happen.
Limited choice and for the choice they have, it’s often either out of stock or stale. As there is no date at which some of the cakes were boxed (to my knowledge), it’s difficult to assess whether e.g. the large macarons will be soft or dried out. My personal favourite cake from what they have is the tartelette au chocolat; for some reason it’s the only store not to stock it. Added to this, service is usually at best not caring, at worst a bit aggressive if ask a question. Design was also badly thought out as doors took small and usually half blocked by people eating outside with large suitcases next to them.
I was initially happy that Paul came; good complement to what existed but it’s unfortunately a real...
Read morePros: Convenient location. Has potential.
Cons: Service is beyond disorganised. Management should watch store footage to view the dysfunction. There are literally 3-5 people behind the counter with only 1 person making coffee and then it's a stampede for customers to figure out who's coffee it is. How can it be so dysfunctional particularly during rush hour which is all the time as they're right across from Eurostar?
It's very simple:
1 - Task 1-2 till operators 2 - Task 1-2 coffee makers 3 - Add signage on/above the til such as 'Order,, Pickup' 4 - Add customer names to orders 5 - Stop looking confused and keeping your back to customers. 6 - Be proactive and stay customer focused 7 - Keep the line moving 8 - Up your customer service game or risk losing out...
