Paulie's Bagels — Restaurant in London

I recently moved to London from NYC and I really wanted to like these, but the flavours and textures of both the bagels and the black & white cookies were just a bit off. Everything bagel seasoning seemed to lack fried onion bits and was too heavy on the sesame and the bagel itself was sadly very dense and dry. The black & white cookie frosting needs some lemon juice to cut the sweetness (cookie base is pretty good).

Lox are nice quality and the cream cheese is pretty good. I think these bagels would be great for a BEC because they need to be toasted - and sadly, the true test of a good bagel in NYC is that it doesn't need...

A longtime fan since their early days at Netil Market. Always looked forward to their fresh ingredients, generous filling, and lovely staff. I've since moved South so was looking forward to a treat after running errands in Hackney. I made it in about 20 min before closing so was worried that they would be out of my favorite order (lox on everything bagel with chive shmear) but to my relief they still had the ingredients available. Very friendly staff (even at the end of a long shift) and delicious fresh bagel at a reasonable price that tastes even better than some legendary spots in...

The bagels are great. However, we've had something wrong with the order 3 of the last 4 times . The first was a mix up between ordering salt beet and salt beef. The second we ordered one lax and one veggie and got home with 2 lax. Our latest order we ordered one Bec plain and one Egg&Cheese with everything, but got home and the plain and everything were the wrong way round. It's a shame as the bagels are good, but it does feel like staff could be more attentive in making sure the orders...
