City café fined for poor hygiene and mice problems
Both the owner and operating company of Poppins Café were fined a combined total of £19,815 and ordered to pay costs of £3,408 after pleading guilty last week to six Food Safety offences in the City of London Magistrates’ Court.

Clean and very well organised by friendly efficient staff and always happy to serve! I personally thank the owner for his very kind hospitality by taking three photos of my wife and I in the cafe! A big thumbs 👍 up for photo memories. The breakfast lunch was 'SUPERB! The food very tasty, generous in size and one I would never forget for such a hearty meal to last the day. A good choice variation on the menu. I personally recommend folks to try the 'New York Chicken 🍔 burger buns - hot chocolate and ☕ Coffee Cappuccino drinks went down a treat! My wife and I arrived here at around 1115am, it was very busy with mostly London workers and other visitors providing a real lively atmosphere. We will certainly return to Poppins Cafe in the future - already a favourite in my reckoning. Just one thing to note here, there are no toilets in the cafe? That aside, perfect! All the very best to the owner and staff, thanks for a great time here - happy...

Food. . .often gone for a breakfast, nice and clean, well cooked, fair portion if fairly standard. (if a right tasty sausage was in the mix, might have got another star)
Had the bolonaise. And to be honest was more than disappointed.
Had the shepherds pie and 3 veg, I'll be having that again.
Heard from a colleague the kebab and salads are pretty tasty.
Service. . . Quick friendly and efficient. She did whip my plate away a bit sharpish as I finished but I managed to slip it out of her grasp, and mop up with my bread and butter with no complaint. One waitress covering all tables well.
