Full disclosure: I dislike Pret. I dislike their push-button coffee, I dislike their sloppy baguette-filling, I dislike the way that all their egg-sandwiches taste faintly of stoury tea. However, Christmas is a time for mince pies from shops of all nations.

What is it with coffee shops and stars on their mince pies? At least this one has five points. On the other hand, at most, this one has five points. A picture paints a thousand words: in this case, its just "Oh god, no. I'm so sorry. No. I had a whole grape, like, three hours ago" over and over again. Anyone who applies that much powder to their face is hiding something. Probably someone else's face.

Hurrah, my inner Pret-hater, shouted gleefully. It's going to be utter dog-mess isn't it and then I can write 200 words amusingly berating it. However, and it takes a lot for me to say this publicly, it was actually quite good. No, really. I... I enjoyed it. Once you get passed the inordinate volume of icing-sugar, the case has a nice bake (a little pale on the bottom, but not underdone). Slicing it in two was an oddly satisfying experience. There was no sag, the case and filling held together well.

The flavour was annoyingly good. There was a pleasant residue of crunch in the sultanas, and the fill went up to the top. The texture of the case was nice, but was quite bland and needed more sugar and butter (I now understood the mask of icing sugar), but overall I enjoyed it. At £1.35 its not bad for a coffee shop mince pie. It's been twenty minutes and I'm still annoyed about how much...

As a big fan of Pret and their loyal subscriber, this branch offers the poorest customer service I ever met in the UK. I ordered an ice oat latte today, they gave me an ice latte. I said to them what I ordered was an ice oat latte, the lady behind the counter shouted to me furiously: “you said an ice latte!” OMG, I was definitely shocked by the way she treated the customer, is it such a serious thing to make she shout? I just said:”ok, give it to me, I won’t die if I drink normal milk”.

It’s not the first time I visit this branch, I’m a member of virgin active which is very near to this branch. I always order some food and drink when I finish my workout, so I visit this branch about 2-3 times a week. I personally always feel the staffs here are not as friendly as other Pret branch. Sometimes I even could feel some kind of racism from the staff here: they smile and offer help to the white customer but never smile and offer help to me. I don’t want to complain it ,because I love Pret, I just come here to take a coffee and buy their delicious sandwich. But, now, I think it’s time...

I had a terrible experience in this Pret earlier this evening. I had ordered an iced decaf oat latte but a decaf oat latte was provided. I politely informed the barista of this as she handed over the drink and she became furious and shouted, "you said a decaf oat latte!!!". I was absolutely shocked to be spoken to in that manner, and next to the manager too who was serving another customer but did not step in. I told her that there was no need to speak to me in that way and she shouted again, "now that drink will be wasted". To defuse the situation I took the oat latte (not ideal in 30+ degrees heat) but the experience left me a bit shaken up. I expected a better level of service, to be honest, and have never experienced verbal aggression or rudeness in my local Barbican and Farringdon Prets. I sincerely hope this will be looked into so other customers don't have to go through the same experience. I can see that there's a similar review from 3-weeks ago so fear it may be a...

I think the chairs are so uncomfortable so that customers do not stay too long. It is certainly not a place to get cosy and lose yourself in a book or the like. Used to be better before they renovated upstairs and made it smaller and changed the seating.

Very friendly Pret. Fast efficient service. Great music. Nice and warm inside. I'm a big fan. I had a fruit cooler in January and it was just perfect.
