Not really the best experience. Went upstairs to order drinks.. waited front row at the bar for drinks, and the lady did not see us for a while and was serving others around us.. no sense of who was there first. I ordered Aperol Spritz but not the greatest taste.. the mixer put in had a complete different taste. We did not try food there so canât comment on that. However the atmosphere is amazing. They have TVs in there if you want to watch a game and there is balcony where you can watch the live performances on the street. You can take drinks out and there are high stool chairs.. but it can get really busy. There are toilets upstairs but was out of order but toilets are downstairs in the basement. There is no running water to wash hands. There are 4-6 flights of stairs depending on which floor you get in and there is no lift. Overall, the place is stunning though. An old pub style with a 18th century feel to it.

I went yesterday with a group of friends that came to visit me from Brazil... We were 7 people, and we had a great experience. The pub downstairs, where we sat, is very pretty and cosy. The bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly and welcoming. A special mention to the manager, that was extremely friendly and helpful. He explained the dishes to us, asked for any allergies, also explained about the different beer options, and came later to check if everything was alright with the food. We tried the chicken schnitzel, the beef sirloin steak, and fish and chips. Everything was delicious and the presentation of the dishes was great too. All my friends loved our time there, and I'll definitely be recommending it to other people, as well as coming again myself.

The chicken platter was super scrumptious. However, the wings were really not that great, but the other chicken bites compensated for that downside. The fries and onion rings were on point and the sauces were pleasant. Couldn't really tell you about the salad, it really speaks for itself; if you want a salad go to a salad place. The peroni beer tasted a little funky and if you are looking for a lemonade in the UK expect to get a 7up with a lemon and not the real deal squeezed lemons with a little sugar and water. Everyone had to walk up to the bar to order so the traffic inside was non-stop. The tables were kinda cramped and some of the patrons were super rude and clumsily bumping into your chair because of the close proximity of the other tables.

Convenient Spot with Friendly Service and Room to Explore - I recently visited Punch and Judy at Covent Garden and sampled their fish and chips along with the chicken sharer. While the fish and chips did not fully meet my personal expectations, it might still be enjoyable to others. On the other hand, the chicken sharer was delightful, with flavourful and well-cooked drumlets. The highlight was the attentive and friendly service, which made the visit pleasant. Although I have only tried a couple of dishes, the menu offers many other options that I look forward to exploring. With its convenient location and good service, I believe this restaurant holds great potential for future visits.

If you can get a balcony view, make sure the weather is dry. Not much room upstairs to accommodate a full bar plus the rush in from the rain. Good selection of beers and prompt service. Décor is of the time i.e. 1670's. although the lighting is now electric. Dining is provided in the basement which, again, is of the time. Dark, dreary and almost unfurnished. There is a separate 'Garden' area that has natural light but is very popular. If you book a table, you will be in the "VIP" area - the basement. Steak was OK and the gammon were more like chops. Platter was really nice and the plate cleared in no time. Service was quick and cheerful but we needed flash lights to read the menu.

The Punch and Judy pub is located at the heart of Covent Garden. Access is either via the central market area but is not suitable for wheelchair users as it requires negotiating stairs to reach the ground/basement entrance. From the street level, access is via a door which opens to an internal staircase which allows access to the top floor (with great views of Covent Garden), or down to the lower bar area. The lower bar offers table seating for dining as well as drinks. This is a Greene King group pub so expect decent pub grub and a lively atmosphere. It gets very busy on weekends and weekdays are a little quieter but still busy. A good city centre pub in an iconic location.
