Visited St. Expresso in Stratford, London, on a bustling Sunday 18th Feb 24, only to be met with an exceptionally long queue and noticeably understaffed conditions, with merely two employees managing the counter. After a 15-minute wait to purchase coffee beans, my attempt to carefully select from three bags was met with unnecessary attitude at the till. When indicating my choice, the staff member's response was unprofessional and dismissive, suggesting an inconvenience in my handling of the products.
Additionally, the cafe was running low on filter coffee, compelling me to settle for a cappuccino instead. Priced at £3.80, the small cup did not deliver in terms of quality, presenting a burnt taste that starkly contrasted with the premium price. This experience, combined with the unwelcoming service, profoundly impacted my visit.
I had hoped for a pleasant coffee shopping experience but was left with disappointment due to the poor customer service, subpar coffee quality, and high prices. It's disheartening to encounter such service and product quality in a city known for its vibrant coffee culture. St. Expresso in Stratford has much to improve upon, from staff training to product offerings. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment based on my...

I had a very disappointing experience at Saint Espresso Hereeast Coffee Bar & Roastery. The service was extremely unprofessional, especially from the barista who served my coffee. Even the way she handed me the cup felt rude and dismissive, as if I was bothering her. When I politely said “thank you,” she looked at me with disrespect and sarcasm.
Her attitude felt biased and discriminatory, making me feel unwelcome. As I was leaving, I also noticed the staff laughing at me, which was humiliating and completely unacceptable.
I have never written a negative review before, as this is not part of my character—but I believe it’s important to speak up. This is not just about me; if this behavior continues, many innocent people may experience the same treatment based on race or appearance.
I do not tolerate any form of discrimination, and I sincerely hope the management addresses this serious issue and trains the staff to treat every customer with respect...
Read moreIt’s not a bad place to go and have a coffee although, seeing cakes/pastry wrapped in TA bags is never a good thing, looks simply unattractive. Even if you sitting in they just give it to you in a bag and not on a plate.
Customer service average - always just asking the question “anything else, anything else”, without me even finishing sentence what I actually want. I dislike this kind of approach. Not even mentioning eye contact.
And one last things - no baby changing in any of a toilet, I was forced to change my baby on a table and I do understand that for some customers it might be not what they want to see when they eating but what could I do? I simply don’t mind, but I am thinking about other customers trying to enjoy cup of coffee or tea especially if this coffee shop is so close to a park where lots of...
