Shoreditch Chicken & Cod — Restaurant in London

Better to starve in the corner than eating here.

First of all, the guys in the place where cool. Nice guys and superb service. No complains about that.

But I'm trying to be fair and honest: I'm that guy that sometimes has a kebab at 11pm totally wasted. Said that, it's pretty clear that my standard for food in some occasions is low. Really low. But I enjoy it and need it from time to time. Guilty here!

This night was one of those nights and when you're trying to get home you're not picky. Fair enough mates, let's put something in the belly and try to walk another mile. Let's do it!

But well, after experiencing this, Ithink that sometimes you should just think twice. Better wasted in a corner than having this fish and chips.

Don't take my opinion as a fact. If you like the flavour of candles, you'll love the cod. This one is the most candlestick cod that I've had in my life. Tried to add some salt to make it eatable, but I have not enough salt to do it. Tried ketchup, but nope.

The freezer fries are quite ok if you add a ton of salt or ketchup. You have to disguise the wax flavour in some way... Ate half of them. As said before, I'm not picky with food.

Quick recap: I'm not posting pictures because minors can have a look on this and must not be appropriate for all the audience. Giving 1 star because apparently is not possible to give 0.

PS: I found some Swedish guys in the place while waiting for my order. I want to believe that they're not taking this impression of the other cheap and dodgy places in the city back to Sweden... That's lame...We have better dodgy places in town, with proper bad food. This is...

I ordered the burger meal. The chips were fine (but they didn't provide salt for some reason) but the burger was horrendous. All they did was put a frozen piece of breaded uncooked chicken into the fryer and still served it in the burger UNCOOKED. On top of that the Mayo was a very unpleasant shade of yellow. I've spent the entire. Night and this morning with Diaorrhea. Not coming...

Very rude customer service. Especially the oldest man working there. I asked for mayonnaise. The old guy said that he did not have any mayonnaise and I can see another staff member refilling the mayonnaise bottle.
