Truly one of the best meals I've ever had.
The food is so comforting and soul hugging while being refreshing and light. Even though we stuffed ourselves to the brim, i didn’t feel like i was going to go into a coma.
We had the: prawn summer rolls, pork belly adobo in coconut milk, fried tofu, flat chicken fried rice noodles and egg fried rice.
To start with, the prawn summer rolls were great, very light and fresh but the mint with the vinaigrette was SO GOOD, the freshness of the mint with the tang of the vinaigrette made for a delicate and refreshing dish.
The flat rice noodles were also superb. A great bounce to the noodle, covered lightly in a sweet/sour but savoury sauce. The chicken and veggies in it cooked perfectly.
But the star of the show was the pork belly adobo in coconut milk. Originally we weren’t going to get rice as sometimes when you go to a restaurant rice can feel like a waste of stomach room when you get a mid rice and want to try as much as possible. However when we ordered the pork the lady that i can only assume is the owner emphasised that rice would be a good idea for the pork, and she was completely right. Not only was the rice very good, it wasn’t too stogy, was light, each individual grain you could tell had seen the the wok and was lightly fried giving a crisp but also bouncy texture, but it made a great sauce carrier for the adobo (which you will want)
The pork belly its self was so well cooked, a perfectly rendered fat gave it the same tender texture as the pork meat. Literally melted in your mouth. The sauce was so savoury with a little fragrant sweetness that made it rich but light. Having a mouth full of the adobo with rice, then a mouth full of the flat noodles made for a great tasting experience as the sharpness of the noodles cutting through the lightly rich adobo sauce really highlighted the subtle depth of flavours and what a great meal it was overall.
The service as well was great. We were served by 3 people, the lady that i assumed to be the owner, a younger gentleman and a tall lady (im sorry i don’t have your names) all very kind and attentive but i loved that in the hour or so we were there you could see everyones unique personalities from the way they interact with each other which makes the experience feel more welcoming and personal. It’s inviting and charming. You can feel the love for the establishment from the owner which is such a green flag.
The price is also so good. Affordable and completely worth the money.
Overall, such a wonderful place. Ive saved it to my google maps for next time im in the area or a friend needs a suggestion for the area. I could not recommend more! :)

WOW, WOW, WOW... What an unexpected delight! We ended up at Sprigs completely by chance after walking out of another restaurant due to poor customer service. And what a twist of fate—it turned into one of the best dining experiences we've had in London.
The moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by a friendly young man who had us seated within seconds. The interior of Sprigs is cozy and intimate an unassuming little gem nestled in the hustle and bustle of Shepherd’s Bush. Yet, once inside, you immediately forget you're in the middle of London.
Soon after being seated, we were greeted by the manager, Trinidad, who offered us a more comfortable table by the wall. It wasn’t just the gesture—it was the warmth and sincerity behind it that stood out. She made us feel right at home, and from that moment on, it felt like we were dining with family.
Trinidad is Filipino, and since both my companion and I have visited the Philippines several times, we instantly bonded over stories of our travels. That personal connection made the experience all the more special.
As for the food—simply outstanding. I ordered the Pork Sisig, one of my all-time Filipino favorites, and my companion chose the Pho. Trinidad took our starter order quickly and efficiently, making sure everything was timed perfectly. Her attention to detail and care for both the kitchen flow and the dining experience was impressive.
When the food arrived, I was transported back to the streets of the Philippines—the flavors were authentic, bold, and beautifully presented. My companion raved that his Pho was among the best he's ever had.
What really makes Sprigs shine is the unparalleled customer service. Trinidad genuinely cares about her guests. She moves through the restaurant with purpose, ensuring every table is attended to with kindness and grace. You can tell this isn’t just a business to her, it’s a passion.
To top off an already perfect evening, Trinidad surprised us with a complimentary dessert, handmade daily by her and described as “the heart of the Philippines.” A gesture that spoke volumes about the love and pride she pours into her work.
Sprigs has been open since 2023, and I can't believe it's taken me this long to find it. But now that I have, I can confidently say I’ll be a regular. Between the world-class customer service and phenomenal food, there’s simply no place like it in Shepherd’s Bush.
Massive thank you to Trinidad and the entire Sprigs team—you’ve created something truly special. I can’t...
Read moreFood was a very small portion for the price. You can see the photo on the menu vs the photos I took of the portion received, The bowls are literally less than half full. No we had not taken any out before taking the photo. Check other review photos served in the same clay pot and you can clearly see the difference. It looked like a starter portion. I can only speculate as to the real reason they have decided to serve such small portions. Could have at least added some more carrots to bulk it up, which cost virtually nothing. We had been here before maybe 1 or 2 years ago. I can't realy remember but it must have been ok because we were excited to go back again. The staff were friendly, nothing against them. When I queried the portion the manager came to discuss it and reassured us that is the portion size offered. She claimed it is very high quality and the price is lower than the nearby places which are charging £16 - £18 for similar but theirs is very high quality which is why they have a smaller portion. She also claimed the beef is very high quality at £18/kg cost to them. I agree that the taste of the sauce was very good and tasty. As far as the meat in the stew goes... The pork was good, a few small bits of cartilage. The beef was ok, slightly chewy but as you'd expect from a beef stew, nothing special. I feel that instead of doubling down on trying to make me feel stupid she could have apologised and offered to make the portion bigger, with the understanding that they have had to reduce the size due to escalating costs, so should we choose to come again we know what to expect. If it was fresh cooked in the kitchen that would have taken all of a couple of minutes and cost them nothing. I would have returned again with a better understanding and respect for the manager. After finishing the mains she cheekily came and asked if we had space for desert. Yes I have plenty of space for desert but were good thanks. Rude, Smug, I understand it is late on a Sunday and It's probably been a long day. I had a long day at work also. But when a customer complains try to make it right instead of doubling down and getting defensive, you'll get a better result and...
