This is a very good value vegan all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant serving at least 35 different dishes to choose from when I visited for lunch on a Wednesday. The choice is excellent with a variety of hot and cold dishes including gyoza, tofu, noodles and a lot of soya based fake meat. The dishes vary but overall the quality of the food is very good - not overly salty, oily or too spicy and with some good quality ingredients, especially in the cold salad bar. The restaurant is basic but very clean with nice toilets and friendly staff. One big plus is that the food is prepared just behind the serving bar so you can see EVERYTHING in the kitchen. Not many places can boast this, and it goes to show how confident they are about their hygiene. The jewel in the crown is that you get all-you-can-eat for just £9.90 for lunch – which is a spectacularly good deal. They could easily charge £15 and it would still be an absolute bargain. Even the drinks are reasonable: water, coke, tea, etc for just £2 and beer and wine for £4 per glass. For central London this is very cheap indeed and you couldn’t get much cheaper from a bargain supermarket. This place really deserves 5 stars all round and I hope word gets about and they stay in business as I intend to visit again the next time I...
Read moreFormerly Tai Veg which had a branch in Hong Kong causeway bay but closed decades ago, there is a branch in London now rebranded as Su vegan. Although I was aware I didn't ever go because I didn't like the staff there which were so unfriendly. It's now much nicer with English speaking staff which is reflected by more customers. Anyway, I loved the green ginger sauce on potatoes, the duck for pancakes were so dry so I put mince instead from the aubergines dish. Highlights were corn soup, mapo tofu, potatoes and green ginger sauce, sago dessert. The mapo tofu was really tasty because it was strong on the miso bean side but not spicy. Plates are small like side plates which is good in a way for those without self control and it stop those people who take a large quantity of the same item leaving nothing for others. Overall dirt cheap and delicious vegan buffet with peace and quiet...
Read moreThis place is insane & unlretentious. 11£ for buffet, to go boxes for 5/6£. In London, it is impossible to eat better for 11£. I'd even go as far and say it is impossible to eat better for double the price. Especially vegan food. I tried almost everything.
The restaurant itself is simple, but clean, ever so slightly worn down.
If you like homestyle Asian-chinese food that is unpretentious, go there. It is simple, a little bit on the oily side like street food, and most dishes are seasoned simple as well. There's a big choice of toppings and spices to enhance the food you pick. That is how every proper Chinese buffet works. Freshly chopped cilantro, peanuts, hoisin sauce, chili flakes, marinades, etc. are at the buffet to put on your food.
I haven't tried yet, but I bet you can take your non vegan friends there as well and they'll love it.
Staff was also 10/10 I had a lot...
