Dear Starbucks Team colliers wood,
I’m writing as a loyal and long-time customer who has always appreciated the Starbucks experience. However, I recently visited one of your stores and felt compelled to share some honest feedback regarding the current state of operations.
The store was in a very poor condition — there were cups and rubbish scattered everywhere, and the top seating area was closed off before 6 PM, even though the store stays open until 8 PM. This created a very unwelcoming and neglected atmosphere.
Additionally, several staff members were having loud personal conversations, including speaking in their own language behind the counter. While I respect and value diversity, this, combined with the complaining and lack of professionalism, made the environment feel more like a staff break room than a welcoming space for customers. It became difficult to relax and enjoy my coffee.
As someone with over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, I fully understand the challenges that come with the job — especially under pressure or with lower wages. But it's crucial to maintain a professional atmosphere and prioritise the customer experience. When the team is disengaged, it reflects poorly on the brand.
I genuinely believe this store has potential. With stronger leadership, more support for staff well-being, and better focus on customer service, it could easily perform at a much higher level. Happy, well-managed staff not only improve day-to-day operations but also drive better KPIs and overall business growth.
Please take this feedback as coming from a friendly and loyal customer who cares about the brand. I hope these issues can be addressed to ensure that every store lives up to the high standards Starbucks is known for.
Thank you for your...
Read moreThe atmosphere here recently is not quite pleasant. Many school kids or teenagers bought McDonalds and sitting upstairs with loud voices enjoying their burgers and chips. Just in case you wonder if they ordered Starbucks food or drink, no, they didn’t. No staff attended to them and I just wondering Starbucks are so friendly now that their space is even catering for McD’s customers. Perhaps can try to get a £1.39 coffee next door and sitting in this Starbucks brunch and see if they say anything.
The latte that I ordered here, it was nicely made every day except Friday 19/1/24 by a young slim guy this week. Standard was not consistent but at least 4 out of 5, I was happy.
Update 20/07/24 - I’m regular here and happy about the service overall. The tall Korean girl was always smiley and friendly. But today the barista (Chinese girl), her face expression was irritated (when customer asked question) and the soya latte she made was watery than the...
Read moreOn a pleasant Southwest London morning (24°C, aiming for 28°C later), I stopped in hoping for a relaxing Americano and a bit of work time.
Unfortunately, my experience went downhill from the moment I walked in. The décor felt tired, tables and chairs were scattered about, and some counters looked unclean. Worse still, it was hotter inside than out — no air-conditioning. The lone staff member shrugged when I asked, saying there’s “always something wrong with this place.” Not exactly reassuring.
After walking almost two miles to get there, I didn’t have the energy to leave straight away, so I ordered a bottle of water and my Americano. The downstairs seating was in full sun, so I tried upstairs — somehow, even hotter. Within minutes I knew I wasn’t going to relax here, so I left and walked toward Colliers Wood station, where I found Esquires Organic Coffee Shop: cool, clean, and friendly.
Skip this Starbucks. Try Esquires instead — you...
