Studio Kitchen — Restaurant in London

Came in for a cup of tea. Thank god I didn't order food.

The kitchen is one floor up and open to the dining area. The cooks have been shouting and swearing constantly for an hour, and coughing loudly and quite disgustingly in the area where they're preparing food. The music they have on is as loud as the music in the dining area. It's disrespectful and a nuisance, and I would never consider actually ordering a plate of food here.

When another customer and I politely complained, the manager barely listened to us, gave us a trite apology, and went to speak to the kitchen, which improved matters by about 10%. Showed almost no interest or consideration for customers.

Shame, as it's a lovely location. Whoever owns this place needs to have a serious rethink about the management and kitchen staff.

Only come here if you want to have a drink outside on the canal - well away from god only knows what in...

A hidden gem of the Regents Canal! Not very easy to find, as you have to get through the courtyard from Eagle Wharf Road and then through the locked gate (easily unlocked by ringing the bell), however, once you've discovered this place, it's very difficult to stop coming back again and again. Floating terrace makes you feel as if you are on a boat. Tranquil atmosphere. I loved watching canal birdies floating by, while we were having our lunch in the sunshine. Excellent fresh food, generous portions, reasonably priced. I really enjoyed my "The Commissary" panini sandwich, which came with perfect fries (bonus!). Its nicely tucked away at the back of Holborn Studios, overlooking the canal. The food is nice and reasonably price but my god the service is SO slow! This is the 3rd time ive sat here for over 25mins waiting for a simple ham and cheese toasted sandwich with chips. Im comparing their service to that of the cafe on Southgate road which can whip up a full English, chicken rice and salad or anything else for that matter in less than 15mins! Not impressed, wont be back...
