I loved this place until today. When I am staying late at uni I used to come here and have a nice falafel wrap. Today there was plastic in my wrap.
Today after a very long and very tiring day I sat in and ordered a falafel wrap. While I was eating I found a sharp piece of a white plastic in my mouth while eatig. First I thought its a whole piece of finger nail because of its texture size colour and sharpness. I am talking about 2cm. I grossed out and my appetite went away immediately. I let the waitresses know who are btw very very kind. She asked the chef who said its 'only' a piece of plastic from a container where the falafel is stored. They were really kind explaining it and I am not a complaining person in general so I decided to continue eating. Trying to. I was grossed out already and I couldnt stop thinking about where my food night have been before it was served...:S I forced half of my food and i went to pay. For a falafel wrap and a water ny bill was 13£. I very politely said i think this should be reconsidered because i didn't have a nice meal at all. He then said OK then its only 9£. I am naive and I was too tired to argue so I payed. But after several hours i still feel weird and my appetite is still gone after many hours. I think I just wanted to post this for the restaurant to learn from it's mistake: finding plastic in food is really dodge, even that it can happen accidentally- thats OK but try not to take advantage of the customer's niceness naivite, but say a huge apologie and be very confident about them not paying anything for food which had rubbish inside or 'only' container, even if they want to. In my case I said I dont mind paying if you think but I did not have a nice meal at all because of the plastic found. - You could keep your costumers that way. I should have paid only for the bottle of water really. I am definitely not coming back to this place anymore because even now thinking about eating that falafel making me feel...
Read moreThe meat wasn't fresh and it was very hard, the halloumi was burnt. We had found hairs in our food and also lipstick stains on the cups when our drinks had been brought. They filled the cups 5/7ths full of aryan and it was the first time I had seen a turkish restaurant being so greedy. Also full well knowing that we had ordered for out children, they didn't bother asking us about the spices/chilli as it hadn't been stated on the menu either. My daughters halloumi wrap was sent back as the waiters realised the halloumi was inedible after asking them to look at it. One of the waitresses tried her best to stay nice and helpful as we faced so many atrocities there, and then took off their service charge for us due to the abundance of issues. We brought it to their attention that we were not happy. All in all, I'm sure we wont be visiting there EVER again. We always shop at westfield and thanks to a love of turkish cuisine, we decided to check it out there after so long of having gone previously but it's a choice i regret. If you want good quality food and service, go to the mcdonalds or kfc down the street instead, because surely even they would be at a higher standard than this restaurant. It seems that hospitality and quality of food and enjoyment of customers isnt as important as 'money' and 'business' to such places of course....
Read moreI stumbled across this restaurant one evening in early summer when I was in the Shepherds Bush area. To be fair, it looked like a 'canteen' from the outside, it's small and by no means a fancy restaurant, but looking through the glass, the food looked fantastic! and I was not disappointing. The meat is on point, delicious, succulent, tasty, cooked to perfection. I've been back numerous times since. Most recently, I turned up with a party of 9. We were given royal treatment, and served hot food (starters mainly ) off the grill as we waited for our mains, falafel mainly, the rest was salad, humous and hot bread. The service for me has always been good 8/10 but food and general vibe 10/10. If you want amazing turkish food, or just some good meat, or feel like a persian but something tastier, Try Harana Meze, one of my favourite restaurants in London! Thank you guys - excellent service and may god bless you a successful business for many more year to...
