I visited Supreme Doner Kebab in Kentish Town after being drawn in by a well-designed ad on their front door promoting the Beef Steak Burger with chips. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the presentation.

While my food was being prepared, the staff member asked which sauces I preferred. I requested chilli sauce and mayonnaise, assuming the rest of the standard toppings (like salad and cheese) would be included. When I received the burger, both were missing. Upon raising the issue, I was told that I had only asked for sauces—as if that implied I didn’t want anything else, which was never discussed.

What stood out even more was the shift in the staff member’s attitude after he casually asked where I was from. The change in tone and behaviour afterward was subtle but noticeable and made the interaction feel uncomfortable.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a burger and chips that were nothing short of exceptional. The burger was perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and topped with the freshest ingredients. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, with the flavors perfectly balanced and the bun soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together.

The chips were equally impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. They were the ideal complement to the burger and truly elevated the meal.

This used to be one of my favourite places to eat. I had moved away from this area and returned after a year to have something to eat and it was disappointing. The 2 young boys who were serving didn’t notice me and one of them was on his phone 24/7. He took my order after I called him. Then was obvious that he wasn’t happy I was there.
