I recently dined at Tempio in Blackfriars and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, with elegant decor that set the perfect tone for our meal.

The menu offered a fantastic selection of authentic Italian dishes. I opted for the risotto, which was perfectly creamy and flavorful, while my wife enjoyed the homemade pasta, which was cooked to perfection. The quality of the ingredients truly stood out.

I get nervous when I visit Italian joints, I've been to Italy several times and expect to be bitterly disappointed by London imitations.

Unfortunately my expectations were met here, not massively, but enough for me to say I ate my food but didn't necessarily enjoy it. I had the prawn linguine - the flavours weren't quite there, the pasta tasted like it was out of a packet (sorry to be harsh but I want to be helpful in my review) and there wasn't enough prawn.

Underwhelming food for the prices. Quality of food could be better. It just seems like anyone could make the kind of food they serve. Pizzas are nothing special and pasta is nice but again, quite underwhelming and can be quite bland. The lasagne is just a bowl of poor quality cheese on top of dry sheets of hard pasta with no authentic Italian taste.
