The first time to walk around the Fleet Street, I was astonished since it looks like a street full of the stunning church constructions, the monuments and statues, which have a power left me in awe. Cannot believe this street was existed since the Middle Ages and it is also proved the history of printing and publishing of Britain. Just imagine numbers of journalists and typewriters frequently appeared around at that time. This time I checked The Fleet Street Press, a cute coffee shop along the Fleet street with a name really makes sense….haha…

London Coffee Shop for Digital Nomads-9 The Fleet Street Press

Category: Artisanal Independent

WIFI: Reliable, free to use (need to ask for the code)

Seating: Actually at the beginning, I felt a little disappointed since it looks so cram….and dim inside, though you will feel surprised when you walk in. It still can accommodate 15 seats on the ground floor, then I think the main reason is that the layout is long and thin shape. However, downstairs there are a wonderful basement, with plenty of tables and outlets for you to work the day away. Almost you could have a power point near your seat. Cool stuff…

Toilet: One for Unisex

Ambience: Not so many people occupy the seats here, so you could always find a seat, especially downstairs, good news for remote workers.

Cost: Coffee £2.2-£3.4, Tea £2.2-£2.4, Hot Chocolate £2.8-£3.4 Need to pay extra for milk.

Something Special about the cafe:

(1) They display London Press Photograhers’ works and sell them; (2) The coffee shop has a basement downstairs, which is full of sofas, armchairs and round tables, with a nostalgic style. Cramped but cosy.

Problems: The narrow layout and...

The FSP (as regular's know it) is one of London's little gems. The best coffee & cake shop near my work and to be honest, I'd trek barefoot across London if I moved to come here. Great coffee, plenty of blends to choose from and the baristas know their stuff. They are also happy to suggest something new to try. Great cakes, in particular the chocolate Guinness cake, Portuguese tart, chocolate brownie, salted caramel brownie and the cheesecake are just a few I can recommend. This place is SO good that my bosses and I have a spread-sheet on the wall to check that we have sampled EVERYTHING on the menu. The shop is a great place to get away and read your book, yep - free WIFI, great staff, lots of seating. I can't...

1 week ago (today is 2 december 22) after ordered for lunch a sandwich for take away I go for paying 5.50 (take away price) by card and the young cashier made me pay 5.90 (eat inside price) and when I let her know she looked at me almost disgusted saying "it's only 40 p" instead of saying sorry, then after I decided that just because of that reaction that I wanted to have 40 p back she said "I don t have coins" so after 2, 3 seconds she took the offering jar and after shaking in a noisy and teatrical way she gave me 1 pound so I gave that to her with a more disgusted face and said Goodbye. It just felt I had to leave a trace of that wonderful girl who probably still...

Great little place for high quality coffee in an area with not too many options. The interior is welcoming and well presented given that it is fairly compact. I tried the iced americano which had lovely lingering sweetness. Recommended and I will be back again to sample more

Friendly service and an excellent almond milk cappuccino. Really sizable compared to more hipster locations but perfect foam and a “fruitier” espresso blend which was really nice. Lots of seating and not crowded on Saturday around noon. They also offer beans to go.
