Pizza Room in Poplar has become my go-to pizza place, and for all the right reasons! From their mouthwatering pizzas to their top-notch service, this pizzeria has never failed to impress.

Wanted to order the halal spicy chicken online but it wasnt coming up as an option. Me and my husband then went into the shop- one of the guys working there at first said the vegan menu is the halal menu. We then showed him the actual halal menu online to which he said for us to order something else that's the same price since the halal one wasn't an option we can order online and he'll give us the halal chicken one. We ordered a LARGE margarita, garlic bread and a dip. He gave us a SMALL halal spicy chicken one. We told him we've ordered a large one so why are we getting a small one. He said the large one costs more, my husband then showed him that we did in fact pay an extra £2.50 for a larger size. The guy then made us a large one. When we opened the box we realised there's no cheese. This was not mentioned anywhere. How can pizza come without cheese? The guy said the cheese is apparently not halal cos it has pork mixed in it. Not sure how much this is true but I've never come across non halal cheese. We then left but once we came home we realised he didn't give us our dip either (that we paid for). So to sumnarise; we paid full price for a pizza with no cheese, we paid for a dip that we did not receive and we almost walked away with a smaller pizza had I not realised. Also why are you advertising a halal menu online but not giving us the option to actually order it? We tried calling the shop a couple of times before going in but no one picked up. We went to the Pizza Room the other day and had a somewhat lukewarm experience. It was on a Saturday aroud midday and we got to a very quiet looking place. There were two tables before us a lovely mum with 3 kids hungry and board waiting for pizza, and a self ordering app that did not work, leaving the poor woman frustrated. And nother table who also seemed to have issues with the app. At this point I would have just opened the till and let people order but it seemed that lonely worker although lovely did not know how to use it. We waited and tried and after over 25 minutes the mum and kids left and so did the frustrated mum and daughter duo before us. As the lovely Simone called the manager, so to figure out how to work the till and card machine, the app orders started going off. He was alone and did his best, making us two yummy pizzas. Why do managers do this? do you want a successful business? yeah, its not busy on a Saturday but you do not know that? you have to plan for the unforseen. It is a Saturday offcourse people will be out, is so painful to employ two people on a shift instead of slaving one person to death?
