Stayed for one night, having travelled from Northants for a concert.||First impressions of the hotel were great; really nice decor, staff pleasant, location for us really good.||Room wasn't ready so staff directed us to the bar downstairs (in the Indian Restaurant) where we grabbed a drink and later some snacks. Staff all helpful, food was amazing. We sat outside in the garden which was nice.||Upon checking in we were asked to pay a £50 deposit (on top of the room fee) which was refundable but was taken in case of damage. Having looked at previous reviews some guests state that they didn't receive this back.||On arrival in the room it was nice enough, seemed clean, there was a distinct lack of coathangers, we were only provided with two in total.||We found a rather lengthy note explaining that, due to the pleasant weather of late, the air conditioning system had not coped well and, as a result, was not currently functioning in some rooms. As a gesture of comfort, a fan had been placed in our room along with some extra chilled drinks in the fridge (2 bottles of water).||The fan was large, incredibly noisey and impossible to sleep with it on. The only window in the room was in the bathroom and this couldn't be opened.||Having looked back at previous reviews, it seems the air conditioning has been having problems for up to a year so to leave a note saying this was a recent problem is not factually correct.||We tried to make the best of the stay, not something you would expect to have to do for a 4 star hotel.||When we returned to our room at gone midnight we couldn't actually turn the lights off in the bathroom, that taken together with the incredibly noisey fan meant not much sleep was had.||We headed down for breakfast (again served in the Indian Restaurant downstairs) at 9.30am (we had been asked to confirm what time we wanted breakfast when we checked in the day before).||Breakfast was a disaster. There was hardly any food there to choose from, the juices were not filled ... the only choice being cranberry juice, or water.||We had to ask for more fried eggs and more bacon, as there was not enough for us to make a breakfast from. The only items left were sausage, beans and mushrooms.||The waitress told us it would be 15 minutes for more bacon. By the time this came out we had already eaten a rather disappointing breakfast, and the bacon that she brought out didn't even looked cooked so we declined. Breakfast is charged at £15 pp so we were not impressed.||Upon checking out we queried the £50 extra deposit and was assured this would be returned to our payment card, dependent on the bank's processes.||Another couple who were checking out at the same time as us were very unhappy with their stay.||It's a real shame when people look forward to a night away, pay to stay in a 4 star hotel but leave feeling so disappointed.||We would not...

Stayed here for our 15 year wedding anniversary. Location was great as pretty close to the west end theatres. Unfortunately our room G.01 fell well below expectations.+Super friendly helpful staff+clean rooms and hotel generally.- Room G.01 - a ground floor - we had to keep curtains shut the entire time, as people walking in the streets outside have a clear view straight into your bedroom! The Mrs was most unimpressed at this.- Tiny shower room and cubicle - honestly my mums caravan has a bigger shower. I could barely fit, and I'm 5ft 7, 68kg. If you are larger person, or slightly overweight forget it!- Shower temperature was not getting hot - raised with reception and was told "leave it running for 5mins and it should start to get hot" not ideal if you're in a hurry and don't have time to sit around having a cup of tea whilst you wait for the shower to heat up.- Too many doors!, all with harsh slamming fire hinges - they slam you on the butt as you walk through, they slam in the night when you are trying to be quiet through the night - even the shower room had it.- Insanely confusing Air Con, that we could not work out how to manually set a temperature without it flicking back to "Auto" a matter of seconds later. We both felt we were slowly suffocating through the night, due to the "Auto" mode ensuring the air con would turn off after a few minutes.- an insanely bright green laser emits from the air con wall pad, so we had to drape towels over it.- strong bright white light emits from the menu screen on the bedside telephone, with no obvious way of turning it off, unless your a 90's Mittel engineer - had to cover this also- pre booked parking space, but there was a broken down car straddled across the last 2 spaces meaning we had to find on street parking instead.- various other issues, such as the "L'occitane" toiletries being refilled with water, meaning a diluted fairy liquid squirt, rather than a proper shower gel. Also questionable whether they are just using L'occitane bottles and filling with cheap liquids.- Breakfast expensive for the small buffet selection on offer. Also we were asked to confirm the night before what time we would be attending breakfast, so we had to go at a specific time slot, rather than simply when waking up.Conclusion - After the stay, we felt that a "boutique" style place like this just isn't work the risk - is in our case room G.01 - needs to be taken out of service in our view! I've stayed in a Travelodge with more generous features and installations. I'm sure some others are lucky to get a larger room, and perhaps even a bath tub. Next time we'll be opting for one of the more well known hotel chains with uniform room standards, so you know exactly what you are getting before your book it - especially at several hundred pounds...

Location is okay but still a 10-15 minute walk from Canary Wharf across main roads.|Check in was a bit chaotic, not prepared at all and didn’t give us any real information. ||Wasn’t the welcome we were expecting for a 4 star hotel. ||Hairs in the bed under the bottom sheet. Stains on the bathroom floor (although I’m hoping this is potentially damage to the tiles from cleaning products), sliding glass bathroom door was jammed and couldn’t be closed. Bedside phone filthy. ||Overall no attention to detail and cleanliness. No proper spoons for making tea/coffee, just makes it seem very cheap with disposable sticks. ||No complimentary water (which when paying £300 a night should absolutely be the minimum standard). Bags of rubbish and dirty linen were piled up next to our room door and remained for quite some time. We were going to sit out on the terrace but saw some workers out there having their breaks, shoes off, feet up on chairs, so we didn’t bother. ||There is music playing in common areas which is far from ambient, it is annoying pop music which was aggressively loud and can be heard in all areas of our room. Check out at 11 is also a cheeky ask, even budget hotels usually allow until 12:00. ||The room is absolutely roasting as the aircon is not big enough for a room with ceilings that high. Where the actual bed is was so hot I had to keep going to the bathroom in the night to run my face and hands under the cold tap. ||Breakfast was very poor quality. Stale hash browns and overdone dry bacon, there was not much choice. Food and juices not replenished (only one piece of cheese left, apple juice and water empty). Again, we’ve had far superior breakfast at budget hotels/ hotels with lower star rating. ||It’s a shame because the room we stayed in was unique and could be lovely. ||Overall, I would absolutely not pay these prices again for this standard of hotel, and even cheaper hotels I would expect a higher level of cleanliness. Do not book this if you are going to the O2 as it is not walkable due to being on the wrong side of the river.||The next day the hotel reached out to me to ask why I gave them poor feedback on bookingdotcom and I was fully honest. The lady I spoke to was very nice and listened and agreed that this is not the experience someone paying £300 a night should receive.||After agreeing to a partial refund that needed to be agreed by the manager I have spent days being ghosted and given the run around by the hotel and various people there. This has left me even more annoyed as not only do I feel like I was ripped off by them I am now having my time wasted.||I would have liked to have worked with the hotel on making my poor stay a little less damaging but it seems all they were after is my review to be...

I was looking for a Hotel and Spa as close to Canary Wharf as possible without staying IN Canary Wharf, The Lansbury Heritage ticked all the boxes, it's regal, affordable, has off street parking, and is about 15 min walk from the Wharf. I booked a club room, it's small but lovely, with the bed being on the first floor and the bathroom ground floor (not so ideal if you have mobility issues, which my wife does have a bad back, a bit of an oversight on my part but she loved the room all the same), it has one large window and an extremely high ceiling. The staff were courteous although we did stay during storm Eunice so the hotel did seem quiet. The bed is comfy, rooms quiet, heating/air con holds the room temp extremely well, turn down service was fine although dirty teacups left behind and no new ones replaced, not the end of the world by any means but had to go to reception to get my top ups, So why the 4 stars and not 5, well I booked through booking.com, which is my usual go-to but I didn't see anything about having to book the car park 24 hours before to get a space, it's very small, like 10 spaces max, I might have missed it but was in contact with the hotel a few times regarding early check in, a heads up would have been appreciated, or just this being more clear to customers. The bar and restaurant are still closed due to Covid which is odd but this didn't effect my review as I was aware of this before making the booking and was planning to be doing most of my eating and drinking in the Wharf's choices of restaurants. I didn't manage to use the spa, as again it's a book in advance rule, 48 hours in this case, (I thought it was 24, so I got that wrong too, so that was a little disappointing. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure, I would stay again myself with better understanding of the booking rules so as to maximise my stay.

This hotel is 1* at best. Maybe a 2* hotel for the fact that you get Twinings tea bags. Do not believe this hotel to be a 4* that's impossible. You cannot watch TV without other guests complaining the volumes too loud. Is this a hotel or someones private residence?? When you stay at a hotel you get guests from all over the world who are all different and we don't all go to bed at the same time!! You feel like your a child in your parents house when you stay here. What a shambles! You need to tell the reception when you'd like to use the sauna and steam room. I told the reception staff member that I'd be using the facilities in the morning. When I arrived in the spa area nothing was on. So went back to reception to let them know it was off. Very unhelpful. After waiting 20 minutes!! The manager came to turn it on. This is where it gets tricky, so the manager stated it was turned off last night and then said "I'll TRY and get it to work". In my mind I was thinking TRY OKAYYYY!!! She fiddled around with the panel turning knobs on and off. Making up the most excuses why the steam room was not working. Then had the audacity to say well why don't you just use the sauna!! Hold up one second, excuse me why what? Sorry why don't you just refund me for all the inconvenience and rude customer service from management level. When I told her this will be going in my vlog she then refused to help!! What a waste of time staying here, the next hotel I stayed at the following day was Leonardo Royal Hotel Tower Bridge and the was a fantastic experience 100% 4* hotel. For the extra it is definitely worth it. Update March 2022 Unfortunately I won't be visiting your hotel in the future. I've had plenty great experiences else where. How can I enjoy your facilities when they do not work!! And the staff are unwilling to help rectify the issues 🙄

Above all, I had the worst hotel experience ever. Here are the two main reasons: 1. On the second night I stayed at this hotel, the AC in my room suddenly started making noise at 3:09 a.m., which woke me up. I went to the reception, and the staff said he would contact the maintenance team. I then went back to the room and waited. When it was 3:39 a.m., as no one had come to solve the problem, I returned to the reception and asked for a new room. Only then did your colleague arrange another, smaller room for me to sleep in. Unfortunately, the review does not support uploading videos. Otherwise, I would share them with those looking for a hotel in London to help you avoid this one. 2. When the manager of this hotel contacted me, he pretended to apologize but actually passed the responsibility to me. First, the manager said that I should have reported the issue earlier, which is nonsense. The AC started to be quite noisy suddenly at 3:09 a.m. If this noise had existed earlier, how could I have endured it? How could I have fallen asleep? Second, he said the staff arranged a new room for me, which supposedly proved that they solved the problem swiftly. In fact, the staff just said he would contact the maintenance team when I came to the reception. After waiting for approximately half an hour without the problem being solved, I came to the reception again and asked for a new room to sleep in. The communication from the manager did not comfort me or provide a sincere apology; instead, it passed the responsibility to me and further wasted my time. As consumers, we should not waste our money, time, and mood staying at a hotel run by such an irresponsible team.
