London Pub MapLondon Pub Map
🚇 Parsons Green 🍺 £8.35 Hawkstone session ipa The White Horse Is located in leafy Parsons Green in Fulham, Southwest London. The nearest Tube is Parsons Green. There’s been a coaching inn on this spot since 1688, once serving as one of the last stops for travellers heading into London. It was rebuilt in 1778, destroyed by fire in 1881, and rebuilt again in 1882—the building you see today. Known affectionately as ‘The Sloaney Pony’, the pub earned its nickname from the upscale, fashionable ‘Sloane Ranger’ crowd that’s been drawn to the area since the 1980s. This sizeable one-bar pub blends traditional Victorian decor with modern touches. At its heart is a grand mahogany servery with a striking back bar. At the front and left are comfy scarlet banquettes with classic tables and chairs, while the back left of the bar has a more casual feel with benches, a cosy corner, vintage beer signage, and a Bass mirror. On the right, there’s a snug by the window, further down are rustic pews, an ornate marble fireplace, a portrait of an English gentleman with a white horse, and a flagstone floor. At the back is a vaulted dining area, and out front, a beer garden with umbrella-covered tables overlooking the green. The beer selection is excellent, with a broad mix of mainstream, premium, and independent brews, including five cask ales. I went for a @hawkstone session IPA—great pint, but cost a whopping £8.35! 😬 The food menu features modern British pub classics: fish and chips comes in at £20, and roasts are available on Sundays. I arrived at 12 pm on a pleasant Saturday lunchtime in May. The pub had just opened its doors and was already seeing a steady influx of punters. The atmosphere was chilled and laid-back, so settling in was easy and gave me a chance to have a good mooch around. The service was on point—the team were welcoming and friendly. This is a stunning Victorian pub with a superb (if pricey) selection of beers, lovely decor, and friendly service. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and definitely recommend a visit—just maybe not for the sesh. Awful pub lunch experience here, avoid, especially if eating. I’ll put it in bullet points, given there are so many negatives: - Toilets and urinals blocked and flowing on to floor. - The staff (one member in particular) were completely disinterested, rude and were ‘too busy’ to serve a glass of water, despite us being in a party of 11 paying customers. - The overpriced Sunday roasts (or the 2 options that they had left) were an insult to the animals that died for them. We may as well have eaten alone at home because the food came at different times over a 45 minute period. The gravy was just water, Yorkshire puddings were rock solid and the and potatoes tasted like they were cooked last week. - The Guinness should be illegal, especially given the price they’re selling it for.

Bday celebrations round 3...at the White Horse with some of my best friends in the world! Last night was just precious. Not everyone in our little room knew each other but I was very mindful that all I wanted was my favourite pub, with my favourite people & zero pressure. It paid off! You attract the company you keep ❤️💕& my friends who met my new friends just clicked. My friends & family are my everything. To the sloany pony team (aka The white horse) thank you for making it so bloody easy & such a relaxed, brilliant & beautiful night. That's all I wanted...ease 🙏 I have now spent my last four birthdays with you & I've loved every one of them, just last night was exceptional! Thank you Matthew & all the team 🍻

I do not normally write reviews unless I have something positive to say, but felt so disappointed after a visit to the White Horse Inn, this had to be said... Having read the reviews, my wife and I were looking forward to lunch here with some good brews. The pub is beautiful and quirky, the staff seemed friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the bar-lady said I could not taste all of the beers as they only had limited amounts of some of the beers on tap (this was the case for about half the beers). I have visited many pubs and am usually offered a taste without asking. I have never before been refused a taste, and as you can imagine, this left a bitter taste in my mouth... More disappointing was when the burgers arrived - they were well below par - a little dry and uninspiring with tasteless fries. My beef is that they cost £14.50 each! Having had this item at many other gastro pubs, I have found they are seldomly over £12 - £12.50, but usually tastier, bigger and more creatively presented. The 4.2 star rating is not representative of this pub. We were also told the seabass was not ready to be served... (Not defrosted perhaps??) Why have an item on the menu at the beginning of service, when you are not serving it? It was also a much smaller menu than on their website. Unimpressed and...

White Horse is an absolute gem of a pub in London, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for both doglovers and pub-goers alike. With its charming decor and friendly staff, it's no wonder why so many people flock to this delightful establishment.

One of the standout features of White Horse is their fantastic quiz night, which is a must-attend event for anyone who loves a good brain teaser. The pub quiz is expertly crafted and always provides a challenging but entertaining experience. With a great range of topics and questions that will keep you on your toes, you'll be sure to have a fun-filled evening.

But what really sets White Horse apart is their commitment to allowing dogs inside the pub. As a dog-friendly establishment, you can bring your furry friend along and enjoy a pint or two without having to leave them at home. The pub even provides water bowls and dog treats, making sure that your pup feels just as welcome as you do.

Overall, White Horse is an exceptional pub that truly embodies everything that's great about London's pub scene. From their friendly staff and charming decor to their dog-friendly policies and fun pub quiz night, this is one establishment that's not to be missed. Whether you're a local or a visitor to the city, White Horse is an...
