I placed for a delivery last week and the food itself tasted like good home cooked food, however some things were a let down,
The veg starters - aubergines were very soggy definitely not fresh, samosa was falling apart and the onion bhaji was quite hard
The meat starter - chicken tikka was soft and juicy, lamb chop was quite tough and sheek kebab was average.
The Akhani Roast was nice in terms of flavour but the akhani rice was full of bones with hardly any meat, I’ve have uploaded pics you can see how much bones were in the akhani itself. The roast was good just needed some more sauce in the container as hardly any sauce were given.
Lastly I ordered the goru aloo and I’ve also took pictures, there was two meat pieces which were very crunchy like when the meat gets burned at the bottom of the pan I was given those pieces I have no idea if this was intentional or by mistake as my partner also owns a restaurant and they pick out and count the meat/chicken pieces given to customers whether it’s biryani or curries so I can’t say more on that which was very disappointing.
Altogether everything was on the expensive side so I expected better, I do appreciate the delivery was only £2.50 in terms of the location and getting it delivered to me but that still didn’t count for the quality of food received.
I don’t know maybe eating at the restaurant will be a different experience, it is what it is, the food itself is good just few chances am sure your reviews will go...
Read moreDear Tiffin Restaurant Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. As a loyal customer for many years, I have always enjoyed the quality of your food, but unfortunately, my last experience did not meet those expectations. I found the kebab roll to be of poor quality and lacking in flavor. Additionally, the naan bread was extremely hard and not edible. This was particularly disappointing as I had ordered it for a little loved one to keep her happy, which ultimately led us to seek a takeaway alternative. Given this experience, I regret to inform you that I will not be returning in the future. I hope you take this feedback into consideration, as I believe in the quality that Tiffin Restaurant has traditionally offered. Thank you for your attention to this...
Read moreAmazing! I attached a few pictures. The portion size is good. I have was full with an appetizer, main entree and a side of rice. Entree and a side of rice runs a little over 10 pounds. I had the Murghi Tikka masala for 7.95 plus 2.50 for the rice. It was to die for. Fresh, delicious. Also the kitchen is clean- I am food safety certified- so I watch out for this. The two of us are for a total of 27.65 pounds.
Update: Its been 2 months and I was just wishing I could have Tiffin for dinner. Too bad they are so far away (10...
