I was taking my friend around Leather Lane, the area, the lovely and very busy food market, lovely coffee shops...etc. We settled for Tongue & Brisket. I knew it before and I was glad to go back. It is a very busy place, especially for take away. But the service is friendly and fast. We decided to eat inside, as they had a free table on our visit. We both had the Reuben sandwich. It was fantastic, tasty, soft, and a good portion. We also took some fish balls - lunch deal at £ 15.00 for sandwich, fish balls, and a soft drink. It was a perfect lunch. But you have a lot of choices to buy from, all style of cusines... The main issue is that you have very limited space to sit outside in the area, especially on sunny weather, unless you go back to your office... Highly...

My first time there today but will not be my last

Had a salt beef sandwich on rye bread hot mustard and gerkin

Salt beef hot when carved plentiful in quantity and reasonable price £5.90 for a regular sandwich which was more than satisfactory

Can go large if hungry for a couple of pounds more

Good staff and friendly

They have loads of other options available both eat in and take away

Give them a go great value and best salt beef I think I have ever had 😊

Just now waiting for Monday when I can go again yum yum

I feel.like homer Simpson at the moment tongue hanging out dribbling mmmmmmm salt beef

Homer wanting a duff beer that is - nothing as good as a salt beef...

Good place to grab a quick bite to eat at lunch, small but interesting menu including salt beef, chopped liver and soups. The salt beef sandwich was simplistic in its brilliance, optional extras are available but the default is with mustard and pickles only. Sometimes less is more. The bread was soft with a slightly chewy crust and tangy caraway seeds to complement the generous helping of salt beef. Personally I could have had more mustard but I'll definitely be back to sample the other options on offer. Worth a visit if you...

Had a salt beef sandwich as a filling breakfast, along with a latka. Service was quick and very friendly and the sandwich was absolutely packed with meat. The mustard and pickle add flavour and we are definitely coming back to try a Reuben. Warning that the potato latka is incredibly filling-seriously makes a McDonald's hash brown look tiny in comparison.

Tender and tasty salt beef and tongue sandwich. Bread soft. Served quick and hot. Good portion for £7.50 (regular), and the sandwich can be customised to your needs without extra charges (I wanted to try two meats in one sandwich, and you can even have 3, though it isn't recommended cos of the different texture of roast meat). Would revisit.
