Avoid if you have babies/ toddlers.
We revisited this place with our 21 month old daughter yesterday. Service was okay initially, until a member of staff indicated to us it wasnāt alright for us to feed our little one with our own homemade meal, shockingly. We have never experienced similar issues elsewhere, including at high end places like Nobu or Cube.
Our girl was eating home cooked dumplings and vegetables. The member of staff informed us in an intimidating manner that, this was inappropriate as the restaurant also serves dumplings, and other tables with kids may think it is okay for everyone to bring in outside food. The reminder went on for minutes at our table which almost left our noodles cold. Fair enough if we were marching in with an older child holding a burger and milkshake in their hands. However, it should be obvious that our girl is someone who is still learning to sip water out of a cup without spilling. She consumes minimal salt and sugar, she has food allergy and she only has eight teeth. There is no children menu, and nothing on the menu is suitable for her in this restaurant - should we have starved our girl while we ate?! Even though we tried our hardest to explain to the staff why we needed to bring in our own food for our baby (which we never need to at all the other places we have been!), it felt almost like they didnāt want to leave us alone as they kept talking back. They made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome sitting there. It was such an embarrassing scene as our table was very close to the ones next to us.
A notice in the restaurant states that minimum spending per head is £10. The bill for the three of us was well over £40. Then tell us why it was necessary to speak to us in the way they did which abruptly interrupted our family meal.
The restaurant owner suddenly apologised on behalf of his staff afterwards and waived the service charge. The owner seemed sincere, but this doesnāt change the fact that our lunch was...

First of all no one asked us if we needed drinks or water when the food was quite salty, ok. After they took our order they still didnāt serve water until we asked for it and never refill until we asked again and again, ok. We ordered Ā£100+ food and I ordered a very piled-up bowl of noodle as I was starving. When I started I saw there was no ear fungus which I ordered and it was on the ticket. I thought it was probably buried beneath so I finished half of it trying to find it. No sign of it. Probably a small mistake on a busy day huh? I asked the waitress, the waitress first claimed the kimchi was the black ear fungus, and started to claim it was āimpossibleā that the kitchen would have forgotten it. We asked for the manager. The manager came and admitted there was no black fungus ear in the bowl at all and ordered it separately for me. So far Iām very upset already, as I was accused of scamming a Ā£1.5 side dish even when I ordered more than Ā£100+ food. What were they even thinking? When the waitress came back again with the ear fungus, she started to educate us that we should point it out before I started. WT#%#?? No apologies whatsoever hahaha. We asked to take off the sc at the end and tried to explain to the manager, the manager again showed no interest in apologising, clearly took us as āpoor people finding accuse for not paying scā. Hahahaha what a joke
Folks, if you donāt wanna do biz, just donāt do it. Disgusting service. No more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting Yun Gui Chuan yesterday around 4pm, and I must say that it was an absolutely delightful experience. There was no queue at that time, making it a convenient dining option.
The spicy and numbing soup was the highlight of the meal. It boasted a rich, strong flavour that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. While I personally found the rice noodles to be a bit too soft for my liking, my boyfriend thought they were perfect - so it really depends on individual preferences.
We chose spicy pork belly, spicy chicken, beef meatballs, and cuttlefish ball to accompany our rice noodles. The spicy pork belly and beef meatballs were simply divine.
The appetisers were nothing short of amazing. We tried the spicy century eggs, fried bean sauce chicken wings, and sliced pork belly with mashed garlic. The spicy century eggs and sliced pork belly were particularly outstanding, and I would highly recommend them to everyone. The exclusive spicy sauce used at the restaurant was both delicious and unique, setting this place apart from others.
The ambiance and interior design of the shop were also commendable. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, making for a comfortable dining environment. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend it and canāt wait to return for...
