They are not people to deal with, be careful when booking them because they are criminals.| While playing my trip for a conference in Uk, I was looking out for a hotel on booking.com and this studio appeared on their website.|I booked ; an email was sent to me for booking confirmation on the 3rd of September, 2024.|My arrival day was 6th September and when I informed my sis inlaw she disagreed with the hotel and made another reservation for me in another hotel on the 4th of September which I sent them an email to booking cancellation same day.|2 months after that is 7th November, 2024 I got a call from someone from the apartment about payments.|And they won’t stop but keep calling with legal threats etc.|It is true that I booked your studio while planning my trip to London with my scheduled arrival of 6th of September, 2024 through booking.com. However, due to the fact that my in-law had made another arrangement for me, I cancelled my booking with you through an email dated 4th September, 2024. That cancellation was done at least 48 hours before my check-in. ||The standard mostly everywhere is 24 hours notice of cancellation. Read moreHaving booked the place on a slightly drunken evening, it wasn't until the next day I read the reviews.||I was concerned but pleasantly surprised when we arrived! ||||It's true from the outside, the building is hardly prepossessing and inside is a long way from a stay at The Ritz but for these prices what does one expect!?||||On arrival you must collect your room key from the Bangladeshi restaurant downstairs, we were asked to sit for a moment while we waited for a gentlemen to show us to our room. He did his best to explain and accommodated us well with the little English he knew. ||||The building felt clean, as did our room and bedding. Read moreThe hotel above which I believe this restaurant owns. I would like to report the hotel ‘Brick Lane House’. They hide in the small print that a £1750 deposit must be paid. I’m sorry but a room that costs approx £93 per night should under no circumstance have a deposit required of £1750. That is absolutely ridiculous, and I’m disappointed in Booking.com for even allowing a hotel on your site to do something like this. This behaviour is extremely scam like. Furthermore, they do not answer the phone. The reviews are also awful. ||||Please analyse this for a moment and consider the fact that asking someone to pay a deposit of £1750 is for most people a full months wage. And without the guarantee of getting it all back? Awful.||||If this hotel wants to charge this deposit then they, along with booking.com, should highlight the need for deposit at the top of the page or make it extremely more obvious that it is required. Just leaving it in the small print is malpractice and conniving. I’m sure many people have fallen for this before. Booking.com should surely value their customers...
