God, where do I begin? In one sentence, this restaurant is awful in terms of food quality. Reviews are fake or paid. I was so disappointed and offended by the difference in actual food quality vs. expectation that I felt compelled to write a review, even though I’ve never written a single one before in the last 10+ years. For reference, I’m half Italian and my wife is Korean, and we both love Korean food. The first red flag was when I saw on the menu that you get a free glass of kombucha if you leave a review (do you see other reviews mentioning this…?). Honestly, I was initially interested by this too — the sample mini platter of kimchi that you are given at the beginning is pretty creative and fun. I liked this platter, so at the back of my mind, I thought ā€œa free kombucha sounds nice.ā€ That’s where the good stuff ends. I won’t talk about everything we ordered — in general, every item we ordered was not very good, but I really have to give a special shoutout to the kimchi pasta, which might have been one of the worst dishes I have ever ordered in London. The kimchi pasta essentially had no kimchi. Hold on, let me say that again. The kimchi pasta essentially had no flavor. I can assure you it was frozen and microwaved before it was served to us. It was not fresh. It’s honestly a little offensive to both Korean and Italian cultures that the owners think that this quality is acceptable. I actually liked the little spinach salad on the side that the pasta came with, which is nice but also says something when in general, you expect the main item to shine. It was also Ā£16.50 (service is extra and added to your bill) when all the ingredients are vegan. Sure, the restaurant is in Shoreditch where rent is high. I understand that. But the price still cannot be justified, especially for the (poor) quality of the dishes. If you like authentic Korean or Italian food, stay away from this restaurant. Don’t be fooled by the reviews like we were. I’m genuinely curious about this restaurant’s revenue split between new vs. repeat customers, because I bet you that there is an oversized share of revenue from new customers like us who didn’t know better and simply relied on the high reviews. If this restaurant operated in a city with better food (think NYC, Paris etc), I honestly believe it would shut down pretty quickly because a restaurant in such cities can’t be profitable unless it serves food that is high quality or low price. This restaurant does the opposite, serving low quality food at a high price. At least I found the service okay, unlike what other 1- and 2-star reviews have mentioned. I would highly recommend you avoid. Or check it out — just don’t say I didn’t warn you so.

A small, packed vegan restaurant that serves delicious food with a delightful host that makes you feel very welcome. The food is a fusion of Italian and Korean. There is a kimchi core to the menu but also a selection without kimchi. On arrival you are presented with a plate of 4 kimchi options to try, so that you know which is your favourite and can make the correct choice for you main dish. Each main dish on the kimchi menu can be customised with your own selection of 1 or more kimchi options. This was a novel experience which we loved.

I’m Asian but I never loved Korean food but my friend wanted to so we tried it out. Table of 3 on a Saturday late afternoon. Restaurant was miniature and had 4-6 tables but had a homey feel. Place is entirely vegan. There were also jars of kombucha lined up. The service is 5 stars because the Korean owner is super passionate about kimchi and healthy eating. This is not only a meal but a whole dining experience. The first thing we were given was a small plate with different colours of kimchi. We were then asked to try all of them in colour order. The lady asked us which is our favourite and explained the implications and health benefits behind each kimchi. The dishes we had later on had the colour of kimchi we chose as well - kimbap: 6/10 flavour was good but the pieces were TOO big so can’t eat it without the roll falling apart. On a bed of spinach with sesame seeds and I loved that - baked pasta(?): 5/10 I didn’t like it but he did. It tasted way better than it looked (looked like frozen pasta from a box that has been tilted out) the pasta was soft like you would expect in a pasta bake. Came with a huge salad - gnocchi: 7/10 a mix of gnocchi and Korean rice cakes and I enjoyed it. Had a slice of bread - pesto gnocchi: 7/10 same as above but pesto My friends also got a virgin mojito which had kimchi juice (but u couldn’t taste it, probs just for health benefits) and a blue tea drink? The presentation could defo be improved but it was super healthy which is my fav part 8/10 would recommend. Love that it is family run, home cooked and just gives an intimate feeling

Very disappointing. Really confused by the hype and positive reviews here. I always try to support fully vegan establishments when I can but can not do so here.

Ordered 2 mains, tempeh and the sushi roll. The tempeh was some of the worst tempeh (Ā£15) I've had and the dish was overall very plain. The sushi roll (Ā£18) was also odd and a little bit sickly, better than the tempeh though.

The food we ordered had no resemblence of Italian or Korean. Of which, I've had plenty as I'm Italian and eat a lot of traditional Asian food. Even the kimchi didn't taste authentic, likely not properly fermented and adjusted to a western palate, it wasn't spicy either.

The food is expensive and service isn't great. The Korean owner probably shouldn't be serving customers as she comes across a little disengenious. There was a sign outside for happy hour aperol spritz but this price wasn't honoured inside, we asked for water instead and the owner was clearly disappointed we didn't order the other expensive drinks (Ā£10) and basically ignored the request (the water was stationed about 1 metre away). After eventually asking the other member of staff water was provided.

There is no toilet.. For these prices and the 10% service charge a toilet would be the bare minimum expectation. The eating area is also very cramped as they try to squeeze as many as people together on small...
