I had to look up "awesome" in the OED just in caseĀ it had been redefined as the "Yak n Yeti". The authentic exterior looks incongruous to the untrained Western eye, but it conceals the best Nepalese food I've tasted outsideĀ Nepal. I had the Pokhara dish just because the city contains fond memories for me from trekking the Annapurna Circuit, but I struck lucky as this hot offering was utterly superb. If you're not used to spicyĀ food either take a Class AB fire extinguisher for your tongue or pick one of the zero-chilli rated curries IĀ amĀ reliable informedĀ theĀ non-spiceyĀ dishes are equally as delicious. With very reasonableĀ prices, a wide menu, generous portions, and a warm and friendly service, this establishment cannot be beaten. I've consumed a fair amount of Asian cuisineĀ in my time, and I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant as one of the bestĀ in its class - you won't be disappointed. 5 stars on all counts.

The food here was amazing but it came with a hitch - EXTREMELY poor service from the waiter who was front of house. When we arrived we asked straight off for 2 beers and a couple of poppadoms - nearly an hour later the poppadoms arrived! We also waited over an hour from ordering to getting our starter. This would’ve been less annoying if the waiter had kept an eye on tables and noticed when drinks needed to be refilled. We had to go to him and ask for more drinks and then even then he carried on cleaning glasses and needed another reminder for our beers! Fair if it had been busy, there were 9 of us in total in the restaurant and 5 of the others had finished their meals šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø The food though was simply delicious and after we complained the service offered by female waitress was amazing, she really did turn it around for us and we thank her for that and the chefs for the amazing food they prepared!

Popped in with Dad and my dog Ziggy. As an Asian food enthusiast with a soft spot for Nepalese culture, I was happy to try this gem. The staff were lovely and allowed Ziggy in as long as he behaved. The food was tasty with authentic flavours, and the traditional music had Ziggy wagging his tail. The staff's friendliness were top-notch, and they adjusted the spice levels perfectly to our taste. If you're into Indian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Good service, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

From a traveller’s perspective a rather unassuming frontage but we followed our noses to this wonderful restaurant. The staff were lovely and welcoming. The style was not untypical of a curry house and the usual suspects were available but certainly not the main event. We chose Nepalese dishes, as you should in a Nepalese restaurant. Fantastic and varied. My partner and I had very different dishes but both equally well handled. I couldn’t comment on authenticity as I’ve not travelled as far as Nepal but the dishes were very well produced and finished, served in the curry house style. The handling of spices and fresh ingredients was exceptional. Well balanced dishes with flavours that jumped out and really entertained the senses. Different flavours and fragrances came one after another. As a well travelled Chef with accolades I’d like to think I can handle just about any regional or ethnic cuisine but this unassuming little place, like the best back street outlets in faraway places, delivers in spades and I have great respect for their...
