Daawat — Restaurant in Manchester

I visited Daawat yesterday, for a change. I usually go to the place further down the row. But a change is as good as a rest or so they say. I had a Nihari/Nehari as I always do on a Sunday. It didn't disappoint. A full shank of lamb that was dropping off the bone. The gravy was lovely as was the naan that i had with it. They also served me with a salad with a bottle of chilli sauce and a bottle of raita. I had never had this anywhere else with a nihari and it worked well. Another thing I've never been offered with any other nihari is a choice of having it mild, medium or spicy. I chose medium but should have gone spicy. Two south Manchester takeaways are now £20k out of pocket after being found guilty of flytipping and waste offences.

Ordered a Chicken karahi, Lamb karahi and a Mix platter

Mixed platter contained 2 Chicken wings, 2 lamb chops, 2 pieces Chicken tikka, 2 pieces behari boti, 1 lamb sheesh kebab and 1 chicken sheesh kebab

The chicken wings were alright but the rest of the mix platter was 👌💯🔥🔥🔥. The chicken karahi was of decent taste but the lamb karahi was very tasty. Full of flavour and the meat so soft, literally just fell of the bone.

Definitely RECOMMEND to anyone to go pay a visit and try out the food. Food was quality from starters...
