This is the buffet restaurant at Stockport Road... although those who want order off the menu can do so. This is located on the ever busy stockport road south Manchester. .. so this place can get busy on weekends. We usually go to Nawaab's for a buffet if you fancy something slight different then it's ideal. Sanams is a one of the 1st curry brands in the north west and branches out from the famous Sanams on wilmslow road (curry mile) so you can can expect good quality food. The venue: The place is rather compact, but once you get your table and the food it isn't too bad. The choice on offer is not extensive but you do get a good choice of popular main dishes. No lamb chops though. The starters were good, enjoyed the kebab and chicken tikka. There is a good selection of none spicey food like pasta and cheese tomatoe pizza. I do have to admit you dont get a massive choice for the main... but they are lovely. The desserts again could to do with being better, especially as they have a separate sweets section selling mitai's etc. Could had done with some jalebi or russmalai on offer. The kids would like the ice cream, there were very small pieces of gulab jamun but one area where desserts were kept seem to entice no one... and looked out of place. Overall it is an average to good resturant, typical of buffet Pakistani Indian restaurant. The drinks choice could also do with more choice maybe some mocktails. More choices to the main buffet and I would have rated this place 5 star.

I think food was ok but service was fast , Although it was buffet but guy was so on his feet that he was very fast moving from table to table to clear plates. Starters was yummy. I tried fish pakora which was brilliant. Biryani was better than anything I have tried . I was keen to try Haleem which I did but there was very strong taste of ghee in that and spices was basics ,means it's wasn't spicy at all . Although my friend quit like Nihari . One thing bothered me that there wasn't their aircon on while it was raining and humid weather. I found hard to sit while stoves was on as it was open little fry stall on the side of the restaurant. Sitting space was clean

You said: Tell me about dishes like sanam karabiner sanam grill ChatGPT said: Sanam Karahi and Sanam Grill are popular extensions of the well-known Sanam brand in Longsight, Manchester, celebrated for bringing authentic South Asian flavors to life.

Sanam Karahi is best known for its rich, aromatic curries and traditional Pakistani-style dishes. Their signature Karahi—available in chicken, lamb, or king prawn—is cooked in a wok-like pan with fresh tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and a blend of house spices, giving it that distinctive, sizzling flavor. Customers often praise the restaurant for its generous portions, freshly made naan, and the vibrant, homely taste that reminds many of authentic street food from Pakistan.

Sanam Grill, on the other hand, focuses on flame-grilled specialties and hearty meat dishes. Their mixed grills, seekh kebabs, chicken tikka, and lamb chops are favorites—marinated to perfection and grilled over open flames for a smoky, mouthwatering finish. The menu also includes a range of biryanis, curries, and fresh breads, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Both restaurants are loved not just for their food, but also for their welcoming atmosphere, fast service, and authentic South Asian dining experience that makes guests feel right at home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding!

Sanam Karahi and Sanam Grill in Longsight never disappoint! The food is always full of authentic flavour, freshly cooked, and beautifully presented. The karahi dishes are rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced — you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. The grill selection is just as impressive, especially the mixed grill and lamb chops, which are tender, juicy, and packed with smoky goodness. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re going out with family, friends, or just treating yourself, Sanam always delivers the best South Asian dining experience in Manchester. “The food is consistently delicious—flavourful curries, tender grilled meats, and fresh, fluffy naan.” The sweet-counter and dessert options get special mention. “Their gulab jamun is soft and warm, and the barfi is perfectly balanced—not too sweet, just right.” Friendly and efficient service in many cases, giving a welcoming vibe: “The staff always make an effort, and the atmosphere has that familiar, no-frills charm that makes you feel welcome.” For value seekers: dish sizes and customer satisfaction suggest it can be a good deal. “I asked for a glass of tap water and the manager said we only do bottled mineral water.” Ambience and décor sometimes described as “functional” rather than upscale — it’s more casual and comfortable than fancy. Parking and busy times: One tip from reviews: the place can get busy and parking is limited nearby. 🎯 My Verdict & Who It’s Good For If you’re looking for authentic South Asian cuisine in a relaxed, unpretentious setting, Sanam Restaurant is a very good choice. It works especially well for: Families or groups looking for hearty dishes and value Fans of rich curries, tandoori grills and authentic naan A casual night out rather than a fine-dining experience If you expect luxury décor, ultra-formal service or elaborate ambiance, you may want a more upscale venue. But for good food and friendly service it delivers well.

📝 Tips for Visiting

Go early if you can to avoid peak-time crowding and to get a good table. Try the sweets — the dessert counter seems to be a highlight for many. Let the staff know your preferred spice level and style (many reviewers appreciate it when they ask for “desi style” or more authentic heat). Check transport/parking: given the location in E7, you might consider public transport or ride‐share if driving is tric If you like, I can pull together recent full reviews (with dates & user names) for Sanam Restaurant and show you photos of actual...
