Famous 5 - burgers and shakes — Restaurant in Manchester

After reading reviews & people comparing it to Miami crispy, i thought I'd give it a go! After trying it, i can confirm it was a bad experience. My beef burgers was dry an nachos was stale as hell. Also not even luke warm. Spicy wings cold! Spicy burger nothing above average, again luke warm, despite i collected order by waiting. Donner was some cheap quality full of small bones. I asked for lettuce to be separate but clearly refused! Come on, its not rocket science to put some salad separate. Also asked if i can get hot chilli sauce on my donner but yet refused! It seems like no pride in their service. A lot to be learnt! Usually businesses like that dont last too long. Learn to cater for customers needs! Thats how businesses succeed! Asked for my burgers to be cut in half, they said ofcourse. Despite i confirmed on collecting , is it cut, they said yes but guess what it wasn't. Had to run back in. It's evident that there's lack of pride in their food and service. I eat out a lot, but this nowhere reaches quality of Miami or top contender...

When I’m in Manchester, I always try a spicy chicken burger, and to date none have impressed (barring Cleo’s). Unfortunately Famous 5’s joins that list of wannabe spice joints.

The shop was clean, with good deco, but takeout only. Gentleman at the till was friendly, can’t fault the service.

It’s the food that let the place down. Spicy chicken wings were just mushy, no crunch, no spice. Glad I only ordered 3. I’m talking KFC levels of spice at best.

The spicy dipped chicken burger was better, but nothing to write home about. The bun was overly large and wasn’t toasted, meaning it disintegrated. I couldn’t taste the chicken which wasn’t spicy in the slightest. Far too much mayo.

The Ferrero Delight milkshake was really nice though.

First time I had a burger from this place it was nice. Second time I went, they said 5 minutes for a chicken burger when I ordered and after 15 minutes I asked, he said at least 25 minutes because the burgers weren’t cooked yet. I asked for my money back and walked off. Should never have gone back the third time because the same drama started again. When I ordered they said 5 minutes. They took over 30 minutes and apparently they don’t do donner on chicken burgers like the first time I went. Despite the shop being full and customers waiting they prioritise delivery orders and will ignore your presence in the shop. I gave them 2 more chances and now I will not be going back.
