Our 15th Visit in 3 Months – Still Our Favourite, But a Few Small Slips
My wife and I have now visited Levante 15 times over the past three months – it’s safe to say we absolutely love this restaurant. We have a handful of go-to favourites on the menu and, up until now, it has never once disappointed.
However, over our last three visits, we’ve noticed the owner hasn’t been around, and with that, a few small details in the overall experience have started to slip. Nothing major at all, but we felt it was worth sharing in case the owner sees this and can nip things in the bud.
Cleanliness: One of the things we’ve always admired about Levante is how spotless it usually is – the tables, floors, even the toilets have always been immaculate. Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, the floor around our table looked like it hadn’t been swept or mopped for quite some time, which was quite out of character.
Service: The service has always been a highlight for us – warm welcomes, attentive staff, and a consistently high level of care from start to finish. That said, in the past few visits (again, when the owner wasn’t around), we’ve noticed a slight drop in attentiveness. We had to ask for menus, remind the waitress about items we’d ordered, and overall it just didn’t quite meet the high standard we’ve come to expect. Nothing terrible by any means – just not as polished as usual.
Food: The food is what keeps us coming back. We love the freshness of the ingredients and the consistency in every dish. I’m a massive fan of the burger – I’ve had it over 10 times in the past few months, and I usually find myself craving it again before my next meal. Today’s burger was still good, but just not quite up to its usual standard – and it’s the first time I haven’t found myself immediately looking forward to the next one.
To be clear – we didn’t mark the restaurant down because Levante remains our favourite spot in Manchester, hands down. We just thought it might be helpful to leave this review as a gentle heads-up, in the hope that it helps maintain the high standards that make Levante such a fantastic...

Levante in Didsbury made a wonderful first impression. Situated on a prime corner plot, it offers a charming spot to relax and watch the world drift by. On sunny days, the front of the shop opens up beautifully, creating a breezy, open-air feel that connects you right to the street—a lovely touch. Plus, the outdoor seating at the rear adds extra appeal for those wanting a bit more quiet.
The venue itself was spotless. Every surface gleamed, and it’s clear that cleanliness is a top priority. Staff were immaculate in their smart uniforms, and their friendly, helpful attitude made the visit all the more enjoyable.
The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated. Everything we ordered was made with quality ingredients, presented attractively, and served promptly—another highlight. It’s evident that freshness and presentation are core values here.
All in all, a very positive first experience and one I’m definitely keen to repeat. Highly...
Read moreMy friend and I called into Levante for the first time to have coffee and cake, but having missed breakfast I decided to try an omelette. I chose the 3 egg omelette with Turkish sausage and feta cheese. The presentation was superb, looking very appetizing with an excellent mixed side salad, lightly dressed. After only the first mouthful, I knew I was going to really enjoy my meal, and I did without doubt. Service was provided very pleasantly by Milly, Lucia and Grace. Nothing was too much trouble, from these young ladies. I Highly Recommend this new Didsbury restaurant, and can’t wait to return to try another gem on the menu. Kindest...
