I discovered Expo Lounge and I fell immediately in love with it. After countless searches for my daily quiet escape with a cup of coffee, this is where I finally found solace. The café-bar offers: . Comfort, with vintage décor and a warm ambiance that transports you to another era. . Staff: Exceptionally kind and laid-back—never intrusive, allowing you to linger as long as you wish. . Environment: Calm and accommodating—families gather, laptop users settle in comfortably, and the outdoor seating on the terrace feels just right. . Coffee: Excellent quality—it’s not just okay, it’s rather good. . Ultimate vibe: A place where you can truly relax and feel at peace. . Brief summary: Expo Lounge is a beautifully relaxed, vintage-inspired café-bar in Didsbury, perfect for enjoying great coffee, friendly hospitality, and serene surroundings—whether you're with family, working solo, or simply unwinding. --- What Other Visitors Say (with Platforms) . DesignMyNight describes Expo Lounge as a quirky café bar on Wilmslow Road, with artsy, eclectic décor, board games, newspapers, and a very relaxed, family-friendly vibe from early morning till late evening. The menu spans brunch, sandwiches, burgers, tapas, plus a good selection of cocktails. . CAMRA / WhatPub notes that Expo Lounge opened on 18 July 2013, converting a former furniture store into a bright café-bar with vivid 1930s–40s style décor, lots of artwork, and a front terrace ideal for people-watching. . TripAdvisor features reviews calling it a “Didsbury gem,” with a sunny terrace, comfy atmosphere, and consistently great food—albeit sometimes a bit busy. . Foursquare users Praise the casual vibe, friendly service, and dishes like the Smokehouse hotdog, brunch burgers, and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup—and note it’s dog- and kid-friendly. . Restaurantji highlights the warm, inviting atmosphere, generous brunch portions (like shakshuka and Miami brunch), friendly staff, and suitability for families—including vegan and gluten-free options. . Yelp Mentions “nice décor, friendly staff and an enticing menu at fair prices” and describes it as a trendy spot for brunch, tapas, and burgers. --- Final Touch Thank you to the staff of Expo Lounge For your genuine hospitality warm smiles and for giving every visitor the freedom to unwind without interruption Your kindness makes the experience truly memorable. . Popped in for brunch before 12:00. Not waiting for long, served by a friendly lady by the reception area. You can either order food by bar or by scan their barcode, we found the online order process is a bit slow not sure if it’s because of the internet or what so we went to order by bar. We had Miami brunch and big lounge breakfast. My sweetcorn fritters is overcooked / burned so I am a bit disappointed as I paid for it but can’t really eat it. The rest are fine. Big lounge breakfast is massive tho. Would definitely come back to try tapas one evening, very chill out atmosphere and pet friendly place to spend morning with family or friends. Overall it’s a nice place in such good location.

I hope you are reading this Investment Bank GCA Altium. The Lounges used to be great. Now they have been bought out by you, we can literally see the food portions shrinking before our eyes and previously excellent items are disappearing off the menus all the time. If you order the brunch muffin for example, the sausage pattie that used to be flat, fat and really tasty is now like a spent bullet. The chicken and bacon salad is £10 and has a miserably small scattering of chicken and bacon resting on a huge fluffed up bed of lettuce. The paninis are all bread with barely anything in them. I could go on..

This is all too depressingly predictable. You talk in the Manchester Evening News about "loyal customers" being one of the reasons you bought this highly successful business, then you proceed to find every way you can of maximising your profits, ripping them off, tearing everything that made it successful out of the business and crushing it's soul. I guess you'll slowly turn this into another identikit bland chain, run it into the ground, then move on.

You're greedy, soulless, cynical idiots who only serve to make this country a depressing place to live.

A....

The food is delicious , music is amazing. If I was too make it 5 stars I would make the portions of the mains bigger because I feel they are quite small. And we came here in April still waiting for a kids ice cream friendly staff slow service. Food portions are very small this is ridiculous 1 starfrom me. I recommend coming here if you like wasting time service and waiting time is horrifically slow.. No toilet paper where are supposed to do our business on the floor?? The service is snail-paced and the staff is mentally slow. Needs to be more diverse too much British music. Pizza stone cold and raw could be killed a 4 year old. Carrot and homous starter pathetic 1 breadsticks 2 carrotsticks what was it chopsticks and a little piece of squid??. Miserable staff .looked like they don't like working. Staff very argumentative and disrespectful very questioning horrific staff manners.prices were dear drink sizes were petite could ve gone to maccas and got a...
