Levantino is a hidden gem in Withington owned by the ever so friendly Chef Ali. What an experience we have had today from start to finish, we felt like we dined with the chef! Chef Ali is extremely passionate about ingredients and this is delivered through the high standard and quality of his food. At the beginning he goes through the menu with you and gives you his recommendations. We mainly came here to sample halal authentic Italian food ( which in itself is so rare to find! ) however we ended up trying a variety of food including arabic delights; from cold mezze, chicken shawarma ( the most succulent juicy chicken we have ever tasted) and finishing on the italian side with pasta ( customised to our liking and so delicious) and the most amazing pizza I have ever had, tasted exactly like a neapolitan pizza - it was devine you felt you had dined in Naples. Oh and the tiramisu and rice pudding are 10/10! Thank you so much to Chef Ali and Chef Abdul for their hard work and their delicious food. We will be back again! Give this place a try, you...

Was visiting my parents who live around the corner. Saw the Google reviews and menu for Levantino and that pretty much made the choice for us. Had dinner here tonight with my mum. Ali and family were amazingly warm and so passionate about the food they freshly prepare in front of you. And they should be so proud, the whole experience was amazing. We shared 4 mezzes and I had the liver main course, every dish was bursting with flavour. I dont photograph my life, but felt their business deserved a strong review and we had already finished our food... As can be seen we cleared the plates (portions were generous!) Only leaving a wafer thin vine leaf.... which they wrapped to take home, along with some baklava to share with my dad who couldn't join us this night. Happened to walk by this place, just off the main road, and was pleasantly surprised to find an extremely clean establishment. I was welcomed with excellent customer service (there was a lovely family feel to the way the staff interacted with us). The zaatar is to die for, with the dough being particularly piping hot and soft to bite into. The chicken used for the shawarma tasted top quality - unlike most shawarma shops in the locality. The thin crust margareta pizza had a tangy tomato and pepper base sauce which was nice as well. Personal recommendations for anyone is the Withington area is to try;

Falafel (obviously) Fatoush (a freshly made salad medley with a tangy twist) Chilli Potato Zaatar Margareta Pizza Fresh Lemon mint juice
