The restaurant is well located, with a pleasant interior and good music choices. The buffet is worth the price, offering a wide range of options that can satisfy everyone from plantains to stews.
However, as someone who genuinely wants the best for our community, I have to mention the service. Perhaps we visited on a bad day, but there is clear room for improvement. The essence of a buffet is self-service, but that should not exclude the basics: napkins readily available on tables, tap water with glasses provided, and an overall sense of attentiveness.
Having to go to the bar for everything is not optimal for the customer and can even feel uncomfortable. A drinks menu at every table should be indispensable it benefits both the customer and the restaurant, as it encourages additional purchases (please add Malta Guinness and Ginger Beer). Throughout our visit, we were not once offered water or other essentials; after paying, staff was practically absent and we felt non-existent. At the very least, one employee should circulate to ensure tables are cleared promptly and guests are not missing essentials.
Another point is transparency: prices are not displayed anywhere, the receptionist simply asked us to tap our card without informing us of the total. This feels unprofessional. A simple sign at the entrance with clear pricing would go a long way as branding: menu with logo, prices, opening times..

Read moreAttended tonight for the carribean buffet and first the thing you will notice is how loud the music is, I thought I was in a bar and then realised I was infact in the right place. I tried the restaurant based on previous reviews and overall am very disappointed. The food was very salty and full of bones with very little meat content, was mainly bone and they had not been replenished so we had old stail scraps on the bottom of the pots. The mystery stew was gross was full of big pieces of slimy fat and I think the other protein was tripe definitely no not for me. The jerk chicken was nice but Luke warm and had been there a while, the fried chicken was great just very salty. Curry goat and chicken stew were lovely just to much bone, not enough meat and hadn't been filled up for a while. There were no deserts the pots were empty and not filled up whilst we was there but could see there had been melon in there. The coleslaw was definitely not home made and was the cheapest crappiest shop bought stuff avaliable. The service was terrible I had to go and get my own drinks from the bar. I have been and tried but will not be returning. The concept has potential to be great but service and...
Read moreVisited Sunday after seeing this place hyped on TT and was surprised to find the price had increased to £25.99 and this also had to be paid in advance. The front of house staff member I found very rude and questioned my confirmation email time 🤷🏻♀️ but seated us eventually. Drinks were purchased at a separate bar and brought to your table after some wait (we asked for a jug of tap water) I have to say I felt a little underwhelmed with the amount of food on offer. When we arrived they only had 50% of the dishes available and we were told there would be a 10 minute wait for the next lot of food but we had to wait another 25 minutes for them to replenish all dishes, with no notice from staff that the buffet had been replenished. However the food we did mange to eat like the curried goat, assorted stew, jerk chicken was very tasty. But the wait is ridiculous! The dessert bar if you want to call it that is nothing to write home about with a choice of 1 cake and Swiss roll. We were only asked how our food was, once towards the end of our meal when I had my camera out 🤷🏻♀️ I personally wouldn't come put of my way to visit again...
