MOJO is usually my go-to place for a night out in Manchester, but unfortunately on Friday night my phone was stolen out of my coat pocket which I was wearing. In the same time frame my friend realised hers had been taken out of her bag too, and it happened another other friend exactly one week before on another busy Friday night. The security on the night were really helpful, but they said even if they checked CCTV, they wouldn't be able to spot who it was because it was so busy. Whoever I spoke to on the phone today made me feel like it was my fault it had been stolen and said people are always 'leaving stuff lying around' when in fact someone went into MY pocket and took MY phone. I had literally been in there no more than 30 mins, ordered one drink at the bar and by then my phone was gone. They are clearly take advantage of the fact it is an extremely busy bar and know people won't be able to feel them going into their pockets/bags. This can't just be a coincidence and needs to be addressed ASAP. Cost me £200 to sort out a new phone - unfortunately a night out in MOJO is not worth this risk/expense, and due to lack of security/assistance, this now means I will never go...
Read more50 plus of arrived at the bar on 7th February 2024 after attending a corporate work event. Everyone arrived at different times. Due to waiting to be served for a while at the bar one of our members came around just at the entrance of behind the bar to gentle remind the bartenders that they waiting to be served. The "manager" told him quite rightly that he was not allowed behind the bar area and asked him to step out which he did. Due to this the "manager" not only refused to serve him but refused to serve rest of the party. A number of us very calmly tried to reason with the so called manager but he adamantly refused, refunded everyone who had already drinks prior to the incident occurring and called security to escort anyone who is still trying to understand and reason with. It was very frustrating as we all work in the hospitality sector and the whole situation was very poorly handled by the manager to the extend one of his own teams stated he had taken the matter too far and caused a loss of sales on what have normally been a very quite Wednesday. We all went to Revolution where we had a...
Read moreThe best place in Manchester, really our favourite one for the last 5 years...but! New rules and new door man are sooo strange and it's ruined the whole evening. Obviously, I'm almost 40 (And all of my friends)and the door man didn't let us in today. He said we need some IDs to prove we are older than 25...come on ..for the last 10 years I'm not even closer to look younger than 25...it can be flattering of course, but looked more like hatred thing towards white ladies. Because he let in some young guys without asking for their IDs. We tried to show him our photos of the passports and driving licenses on the phone and he said that we could easily Photoshoped it... seriously!?!? I have nothing to do, than to create fake ID to go to Mojo...shame...such a shame really (((( I hope this nice door man will be...
