Happy New Year!!!!
Woah, 2025 feels like a “we made it!!” Year. This energy seems to be moving faster than previous too!!
I hope the holiday season was a good one. I am currently playing catch up, I took a break from posting but I am happy to be back posting on here!
“A trip down my childhood memory lane”
That phrase sums up my experience at NQ64 Arcade bar 💗the theme for the night was Afro play and honestly!!
From the masterfully mixed drinks to the great selection of DJs on deck and the neon lights- my inner teenager danced and played to her hearts delight!
It’s the perfect spot with a good blend of “the good ole days” excitement fit for group gatherings, relaxed date nights and even a solo date too.
Definitely recommend taking a trip down. Couple of things to note; ask for tokens at the bar, there’s no cloakroom but you can ask to keep your coats at the bar!
I hope you have an amazing time. I will definitely be back for more themed night events- shout out to the organisers...
Read more5 star place and one to 100% visit if you're into Retro titles and machines.
The room is split mainly into three parts - the bar/pinball tables, consoles and arcade machines. You purchase tokens at the bar (£7 for 15 at the time) which then allows you to play on the arcade cabinets.
The amount of tokens represents how much for one play/player so if you had two players and it was 2 tokens, you'd need 4 tokens for both of you to play. Consoles are all free.
You have the lower-budget machines at 1 token with some in the region of 2 tokens.
Drinks are pricey and as such we didn't bother getting one (around £5/pint or so).
There's no pressure to get tokens so you're free to have a look around and just use the consoles if you wanted (although I'd highly advise to get tokens!).
Overall, well worth a go and I'll be returning...
Read moreI’m visiting Manchester for a few days and was looking for somewhere to chill and relax for the evening. Saw this pop up on google when searching for arcades (originally was going to travel to Bury for Arcade Club but it’s closed midweek), and I’m so glad I went. The lady at the bar tonight was awesome, guided me through how things work, recommended me a cocktail (which was lovely), and was very kind, hospitable and up for a nice chat. The place itself is a mood, evoking that grungey subcultural feel us gamers all know and love. Great selection of games, drinks, and the prices are very reasonable. I’m honestly amazed. I wish we had somewhere like this where I’m from in Kent. Whenever I come to Manchester, this is going to be my first port of call from now on! Thanks for a...
