Sthan has a lot going for it—flavors that transport you to the heart of the subcontinent and a cozy ambiance that makes the dining experience enjoyable. With a few tweaks to the food, drinks, and menu design, it could truly stand out as a top-tier restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful meal, and I look forward to visiting again to see how the menu evolves! The menu itself was well-organized and easy to navigate, but it could benefit from more detailed descriptions for each dish. While some dishes had an explanation, others relied on customers already being familiar with the cuisine. For first-time diners or those not familiar with the region’s dishes, a short description of ingredients, flavors, and spice levels would go a long way in helping them make informed choices. Firstly we had some beers and a vodka with lemonade…Additionally, adding icons to denote spiciness, vegan options, or chef recommendations could improve accessibility. The dishes offered were rich, flavorful, and beautifully plated. We also ordered Peshawar Naan it’s simply superb…The Chilli garlic Naan too it’s perfectly cooked…The variety was impressive, particularly for someone who enjoys a range of textures and flavors. The maharaja platter which contains if Salmon fish its very rebased even the flavour from it…And Salmon fry its felt like I am in my own home country flavour…And chicken it’s superb desi style flavours…The Lamb Biryanis were a highlight; the spices were well-balanced, and the meat was perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. The Lamb biryani stood out for its desi flavour which I felt…so melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the Butter paneer was incredibly creamy and purely desi style, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spice. The vegetarian options which we choosen such as the Paneer Butter Masala and Dahi puri, were flavorful, showing that attention to detail is given to all types of dinners. However, I did notice that some dishes were overly oily or rich, which might not appeal to health-conscious customers. For instance, the lamb curry and prawns biryani was delicious but felt excessively heavy. Perhaps offering lighter options or providing healthier preparation choices would enhance the menu’s inclusivity for all types of eaters. Additionally, I’d love to see more innovative dishes or modern takes on traditional recipes to keep things exciting for repeat visitors. Its ambience is quite recommendable to all families and people…In the last before living we have ordered brownie with iced cream it’s...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sthan Restaurant, and I am thrilled to share my delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the stage for a memorable evening. The highlight of our culinary adventure was undoubtedly the Masala Dosa and Lamb Biryani, which left us utterly satisfied and craving for more.

The Masala Dosa was a crispy, golden delight filled with a perfectly spiced potato filling. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, and the accompanying chutneys elevated the dish to a whole new level. The Lamb Biryani was a fragrant masterpiece, with tender pieces of lamb cooked to perfection, nestled within aromatic basmati rice and spices. Every spoonful was a burst of flavors, showcasing the chef's expertise in Indian cuisine.

What truly stood out, however, was the impeccable customer service we received, courtesy of Payal. Her attentiveness and knowledge of the menu were commendable. She guided us through the extensive menu, recommending dishes that suited our preferences, and ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Her genuine passion for hospitality shone through, making us feel valued and welcomed throughout our meal.

The overall dining experience at Sthan Restaurant was a harmonious blend of exquisite flavors, warm ambiance, and exceptional service. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and delightful Indian dining experience. Whether you're a fan of traditional South Indian delicacies like Masala Dosa or crave the richness of Lamb Biryani, Sthan Restaurant is sure to leave your taste buds tingling with satisfaction.

Kudos to the chef and the entire staff at Sthan Restaurant for creating such a memorable dining experience. I am already looking forward to my next visit, eager to explore more of their culinary offerings and bask in the excellent hospitality provided by the likes of Payal. Don't miss the opportunity to indulge in a culinary journey that will leave you craving for more – Sthan Restaurant is a true gem in the world of...

We returned to Sthan after quite some months, with our nephew who was craving Indian food. As we entered, we were told that they would only serve us buffet, which was okay as we had a lovely experience with buffet for when it was introduced. However, this time on it was a let down. Cold, dry and fibrous chicken tikka lacked taste, Dal vada was very dry not how normally the Dal vadas are. The samosa was alright. No tongs to serve the poppadoms. Dal Tadka was so thick that was no longer the Dal consistency. The naans were soft and nice and the gulabjamuns were alright. The highlight was to be the dosa that gets served. Very oily dosa.. for 3 people, we were served all the dosas on the same plate. I had specifically asked for one to be soft and the rest to be usual crispy dosa but they all came out oily and soft. And no chutneys or sambar... I understand it's a buffet but the first serve of chutney sambar should be given IMHO. I went and asked for some and was directed to the buffet counter and help myself... The chutney bowls are so miniscule that they are mostly empty. So I told them about that... Customer service I would expect given I was struggling they would serve the chutney or atleast let me know when they topped up... But felt completely disregarded. Funnily enough... Everyone else who walked in was allowed to order food from the menu which kind of surprised me..

The decor especially the floor seems a bit tired with tapes.

Overall, was a...

Fantastic place with great service, a feast for ones eyes as well as ones taste buds. At first glance, I was a bit uncertain looking at the sparkling stairs leading down into the bar and restaurant. But then a sizable, visibly Indian family also arrived behind me and proceeded to enter the place, and so I was sold. Even though I visited on a Thursday night, the restaurant was very well-frequented. Therefore I would probably recommend considering making a reservation, especially if planning to attend with a bigger group. At first, I was overwhelmed by all the choices on the menu. Especially, after being informed by staff that 95% of regular options could be made vegan upon request on top of the already sizable vegetarian/vegan section. Luckily, waitress Julia was happy to recommend me some of her personal favorites, which turned out to be superb choices (crispy Kurkuri Bhindi and Samosas for starters, as well as Chole Bhature for the main course). I had entered on a fairly empty stomach but almost struggled to finish my last course, so expect normal/decently sized portions when ordering! The restaurant appeared well staffed and all staff were very attentive and friendly, and never slow or pushy. Despite the high number of guests, noise levels were naturally elevated but surprisingly reasonable all things considered. So yes, I definitely recommend anyone looking for great service and even greater Indian cuisine in Manchester to visit the Sthan!

**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Truly Authentic North Indian Flavors in Manchester!** We had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant twice—once for dinner and once for lunch. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and felt right at home. The ambiance is really nice and cozy. For dinner, we were served by Taaj, who was extremely helpful and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. His hospitality was top-notch! Now, let's talk about the food—this is hands down the best North Indian food we've found in the UK so far! The flavors are spot on and truly authentic. The chaat was exactly like what you'd get back home—mouthwatering and full of flavor! The Pav Bhaji was up to the mark, served as a perfect starter portion. The Chicken Madras was finger-licking good, and the Veg Manchurian from the Indo-Chinese section was cooked just right. The biryanis had that same aroma and taste that you’d find back home—absolutely delicious! The overall vibe of the place was very happy and lively. There was even a singer performing live with a guitar, which added to the atmosphere. The restaurant was comfortably crowded, giving it a nice, bustling feel. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine in Manchester, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
