Avoid this restaurant! Its a scam. Food quality was not good. We went for 12 pm lunch @26.99 per adults and 3 children under 5 @ half price. As its stated “all you can eat” well more like “eat what is cheap and you get given”.
so we ordered the first round from the ipad, we ordered a selection of sashimi ,chicken curry, sushi nigiris and beef udon. It took around 20 mins for a plate of maki roll to arrived, then nothing else after that, we thought we would wait a little, then we decided to put the order again, but after about an hour, still nothing so we spoken to the waiter, they said there was something wrong with the system and asked us to order again. So after about 1hr 30 minutes wait we finally had more food on the table, but again only maki rolls and very few pieces of salmon nigiris and tuna. Still no hot food for the children. So we thought they must have forgotten again, so we put through another order of curry, udon and sashimi, tempura and other hot food. so after another wait still nothing and went to speak to a waiter again.
She said sorry and went to follow up, finally after 2 hours the children have one portion of curry and udon, dumplings, fried tofu to eat. Then again still no sashimi or other other hot food or nigiri sushi.
So we complained and then the brought out 1 plate of salmon sushi and a selection of nirgiri sushi(3 pcs of salmon, 3 pcs of prawns, 3 pcs of salmon with avocado, and 3 pcs of salmon roe nirgiri sushi).
By that time we had given up asking where are the rest of the food, because we think they deliberately don’t give you items that are costly (or they just give cheap items only)
As seen from the pictures attached it showed such as the grilled beef sirloin, teriyaki chicken, grilled beef salad, seabass nigiri, edamame, california maki, grill ribeye maki, corn brab gunkan, tuna sashimi, tempura enoki flower, tempura crab stick, tempura sweet potatoes, chilli king prawns, sautéed courgette. These are the food we ordered but did not get !!!!
Most items such as the salmon nigiri (17 pcs on the receipt) we did not order that many !!!!! Another example of the salmon sashimi we only had a grand total of 2 portions, however its showing we had 11 on the receipt!!!! (As we tried to only order 2 portions of salmon sashimi at one time and they only give 1 portions) so we had to put another order through with 2 portions and still get 1 portion!!!
If their system was down and the orders didn’t register how come it showed up on the receipt???? so surely they Deliberately give you what they want to give you.
Food quality is ok for some items, but for the tuna is was really bad, and some sushi maki roll are bad. It was on for the the prawn and salmon nigiri. Hot food was ok. But unfortunately we didnt get given other items we ordered to try or taste.
The staff was ok, they didnt seem to know what they are doing. Plus there was only us and another table of customer of 2. the manger didn’t charge us for the drinks. (Juice and green tea) after we had complained.
Very disappointed experience. Would not go back or recommend...
Read moreWe were asked if we had been before and said we had not. The person who seated us explained that we could choose the buffet option or the a al carte option and would be back for our decision. They did not return. We both went to the toilet in the meantime. Both ladies and gents toilets were in a very sorry state. In the ladies one toilet seat was off its hinge, the bin for hand towels was overflowing, the soap dispenser was empty and the entire bathroom was in general in poor condition. I noticed hand sanitiser on the host desk upon our arrival so went to use that after returning from the bathroom and found a member of staff to let them know that both toilets were in need of attention - definitely soap - and that we would like to order. A lovely lady attended to us. We chose the buffet option and were swiftly brought a tablet to order our food from as well as wasabi and pickled sides.
Our drinks came pretty much immediately though the food took forever. I understand in places like that it comes as it is prepared however there was an issue with staffing (we overheard a table beside us ask a server about the wait times an hour in to our visit and they were told there were just two people down in the kitchen). Our chicken dish and when the edamame eventually came they were lukewarm when they got to us. We chose not to tell anyone as chances were the next batches would be similar given the lack of staff and we were so hungry we just wolfed the chicken down. I suspect perhaps there was a shortage of servers also because I could see a hot plate from my seat and every few minutes it was full to the brim with dishes the chefs at the back of the restaurant had prepared on the grill. Those dishes remained on the grill for over 10 mins on one occasion.
The restaurant itself was unkempt. The floor right beside and behind our table right at the grill had not been swept. There were receipts, used serviettes, food etc all over the floor. We were in the restaurant for about 1.5 hours and that mess was there the whole time.
I was served frozen tiramisu.
We visited the toilets again before we left and both had handsoap but the ladies was still in poor condition. The bin was overflowing and two of the stalls had no toilet paper. Again, this may have been due to lack of staff.
The bill came swiftly however after asking for a card machine we were forgotton about Sony partner needed to go find somebody.
Overall I would not recommend this place. For the price the food was mediocre and the atmosphere was dire. There are far better places to go. Sakura buffet, a short journey out in Cheetham Hill, for example,...
