I visited Suki Suki on Deansgate last night, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Manchester for a while. From the moment I stepped inside, the energy of the place felt spot-on—modern, vibrant, and buzzing without being overwhelming. The interior has that sleek pan-Asian aesthetic, with moody lighting, pops of neon, and stylish details that make it feel contemporary but still warm and inviting.
The menu is huge in the best way—so many small plates, bao buns, and fusion dishes that it took me a while to narrow down my choices. Everything sounded like it had been carefully thought through, with twists on classics and a strong street-food influence.
I started with the bao buns (went for the teriyaki chicken), which were fluffy, light, and perfectly balanced with crisp chicken and punchy sauces. Then I tried the cauliflower wings - a proper stand-out dish. They were indulgent, loaded, and had the perfect mix of richness and spice. For mains, I ordered the Suki signature ramen, which had a deep, layered broth—comforting but not heavy—and plenty of fresh toppings.
But honestly, what made the night memorable wasn’t just the food—it was the service. In particular, Daisy, who looked after our table, was fantastic. She had that balance you don’t always find: super attentive without ever hovering, warm but professional, and she really knew the menu. She gave some brilliant recommendations (the cauliflower wings were her suggestion, and she was 100% right). You could tell she genuinely wanted us to have the best experience, and it made the evening feel personal rather than just another dinner out.
Drinks-wise, the cocktail list is fun and creative. I went for a lychee lemonade which was refreshing, sharp, and beautifully presented. My friend ordered one of their bubble tea cocktails, which felt playful and different—definitely something you wouldn’t get at a standard bar.
Overall, Suki Suki isn’t just another Asian fusion spot—it’s got personality, atmosphere, and that rare combination of great food and even better service. It’s casual enough to go with mates, but also feels like somewhere you’d happily bring a date or a visiting friend to impress them with Manchester’s food scene.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 If you go, ask for Daisy—you’ll be in...

I have been aching to go to Suki Suki since I started hearing about this place and it was worth the wait! It is so nice inside, it’s reasonably priced, and the food is fire🔥! Let me explain.
When you walk in, you are greeted with an urban vibe that fits the industrial feel of Manchester. The staff are really nice, and are really enthusiastic! But that was not the reason I came here…
The food is heavenly. I had a Karaage Chicken Ramen with Miso broth and chilli oil. Usually, people think of ramen as two things: Some instant noodles, akin to a Pot Noodle. A comforting broth with tender meat and noodles. My ramen was the latter. It was so good. The chicken somehow stayed crispy, even though it’s in a broth (even a detective can’t solve how they do it) AND SPEAKING ABOUT THE BROTH, the Miso broth was so delicious, it was tangy and sweet. Also, the chilli oil took it to another level, it made it somehow even more comforting and spicy! It was so heavenly that I wanted another bowl but my stomach said no, and I’m still mad at him (sorry stomach).
I paired the ramen with a Diet Coke, which is an underrated hack from me! The invigorating taste helps soothe the spice, and well, Diet Coke is just nice, I can’t really say anything else. Speaking about drinks, you get a complimentary bottle of water with your ramen, which is great because who doesn’t want water with their food, it cleanses the palate!
Just an Honourable Mention, Suki Suki are doing a deal (don’t remember the name) but it is basically where there is a select few dishes (e.g. my Karaage Chicken ramen or a Katsu Curry) just for £10. Plus, you can add some Gyozas and a soft drink just for £5 (don’t remember the exact price but it’s somewhere around £5). This is great for people on a budget or people who are suffering from the inflating costs of Cost of Living - kudos to Suki Suki for doing this!
Overall, this place is amazing 🤩 and the food is delicious. Also, Suki Suki is in Deansgate, which is a few minutes away from Manchester Arndale (the big shopping mall in Manchester) and Selfridges. I will be coming back as I really want to try the Katsu Curry, so excited!

Read moreMe and my partner were really disappointed in our experience here a few weeks ago. It was our very first trip to Suki Suki after we'd heard about it from a colleague.
We ordered some spring rolls as a starter, and a bowl of ramen each. The spring rolls and my partner's ramen came out first. The spring rolls were tepid and soft in texture. My partner waited with his ramen for a few mins, so that we could eat together, before I told him to just get started on eating.
About 5 mins later, no callback from any of the staff, no staff walking near our table at all. We noticed people sat around us, who had ordered after us, receiving their ramen before mine. Eventually my partner got up to find a member of staff to ask where my food was, and they said they'd bring it right over.
My partner had almost finished his ramen by the time mine was served. It was about 10 mins after his had been brought out, maybe a bit longer. We also found out that my partner was never given a ramen spoon, because mine came with one - we just assumed that the restaurant didn't do ramen spoons until he noticed mine had one. Again, he was almost finished at this point so we didn't bother to ask for one for him.
Then when we went to pay, we found an automatic service charge that was about 20%, which the restaurant didn't even show on our bill (they didn't leave us a receipt either). My partner asked them to remove the service charge, which is not something we usually do - but I really didn't enjoy having to sit watching my partner eat in front of me for 10 mins while I was really hungry myself. It made the 10 mins seem much longer! And the smaller points above would have been easy enough to brush off had there not been so many, and for the fact I was left waiting for my food.
On the plus side, we both did really enjoy the ramen we each had. Lots of flavour and nice and hot. But, unfortunately everything else really let the restaurant down and I don't think we'd want to come back, I'm afraid. It was just a bad and disappointing...
